$40 a month to have Ad Free Desktop Gold is a Joke
We have been paying our Aol subscription for 30 years and just feel that it is ridiculous that we have to upgrade from $10 a month to nearly $40 dollars a month just to remove ads from AOL gold desktop. Every other competitor is free to use and does not have ads as well. We will be canceling our subscription of 30 years because of this.

I just called AOL to get ad-free desktop Gold and was told the only plan that includes it is $39.99/month. I am already paying $12 for AOL Advantage Plan, $4.99 for Ad-free webmail, and $2 for ad-free mobile app. I was told that other than upgrading to this $40 plan there is no option to remove the ads on software that I am paying for. Software which used to be free and didn't have ads. I only care about using desktop gold because the new webmail is just awful. I may be ready to switch to another email provider that has less frustrations.
