For the past couple of weeks, I have been unable to send email. I receive a MAILER-DAEMON with the body, "554: Message not allowed - ". I contacted AOL Support through live chat and was told by a "lulia I" that my account was most likely compromised and to change my password and wait 24 hours without sending mail. I did so, same error. I was just told this afternoon by an "Andrada Z" that my account was likely banned by the AOL servers and to submit a request to have it whitelisted from the Y! Sender Hub. I'm not sure why the previous agent didn't mention this the other day; I feel like I've wasted time.
I don't know if it's just me, but this is unacceptable to paying customers. My cellphone number is even on-file and I wasn't even given the courtesy of a text or something informing me that possible suspicious activity had occurred on my account. It was just banned. I'm hoping this form I submitted is going to clear up the problem because if not, I'm going to be seriously reconsidering whether or not to keep a subscription that provides inadequate help.
