    The update is to install the Microsoft .NET Runtime 8.0 . Currently AOL Desktop Gold uses Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8

    Official support has ended for .NET Framework 4.8, and Microsoft .NET 8.0 provides some new features that AOL Desktop Gold will start using soon.
