E-Mail sound "You Got Mail" is still not working. I have a case # 2654112.
In e-mail sound 'YOU GOT MAIL" is still not working. Everything else works fine. I have a case #26541121. Can't believe You can't fix one simple thing that has not worked for at least a month.
Thank you for this feedback. We have found and resolved the issue where sometimes mail sounds were not being played. The update has started rolling out and you should receive it very soon.

Can't get my email
Can't get my email in one of my accounts...get message with error code ET-5003.. please fix. My other email was fine. What is wrong with your programmers? Another update, another problem.
There was a large mail outage last week that impacted email. That issue is now resolved.

Select or highlight next email after I read it.
When I am reading my emails, it used to automatically highlight or select the next email without manually doing it. Please bring that back! Very inconvenient! Thanks

When deleting emails, I get Error msg EC-4007. Every time. Tried your chat with a tech but he was unable to help. Get no reply from AOL.
Get a tech who can help instead of asking the same question over and over. Wanted my phone # to help with my problem; gave it to him and his reply was "sorry, I cannot call that #"...then why ask for it? Incompetent

Deleting emails. next isnt highlighted
After deleting 1 email in aol mail, the next email is not highlighted and I have to manually highlight it, in order to open it or delete it. This is a real problem because I get ALOT of junk mail and this will take forever to delete them.

Every time select an email to delete in any folders, is needed to reselect it again to delete.
This happen 3 0r 4 days ago, before I can delete an email by selecting the email I want to delete and the email at the top or bottom of it will be automatically selected so I can delete it again. And now what happened once I hit delete and I need to reselect an email again. And the recently deleted folders it don't want me to permanently delete and there is an error message comes up. The next Mail is not auto selected/ highlighted to be deleted
When deleting mail, it will not automatically highlight the next email so I can easily delete the next mail. The font size settings is not consistent. I was able to setup the font to Extra Large but eventually it will go back to default size (Large or Medium). I have reached the AOL support assistance but we don`t have direct fix at this moment.

Please, please return our full image-edit features in AOL Desktop Gold email that we had last yr 2024. Please! Can you do that???

PFC Import of old emails shows the date of 1/1/0001
When I import a PFC with older emails, the ones older than the year 2000 or so all come in with a date of 1/1/0001. I called about this years ago and it still does the same thing. Please can this be fixed so I can get my emails back correctly????

Add numbers to indicate items in spam folder
Spam folder does not indicate any emails in the folder
If you hover your mouse over the spam folder, you will see the mail counts for the spam folder.

HEADERS AND FOOTERS DO NOT COMPLETELY PRINT IN WINDOWS 11
We just installed to Windows 11 from 10. Headers and footers do not completely print out in Windows 11. Before it only did if printing out e-mail in quick print mode, but quick print is no longer part of Windows 11.
This has been corrected in an automatic update.

The rolling news ribbon on the Welcome screen no longer has a pause selection.
The rolling news stories on the welcome page used to have a pause selection where you could stop the news from advancing to the next topic. Shouldn't be difficult to restore it. Just curious why it was removed.

I don't like collapsible email address boxes! When I am composing an email,seeing the names helps me feel close to who I am writing to
I dislike the collapsible email address boxes so much. If you insist on it, can you at least give us the option to eliminate the collapsible address boxes if we want? It's a terrible distraction and a burden! Thank you.

Restore the old spam settings. Now we only have one setting.
First you took away stationery and vast choice of fonts, emojis, etc. Then you changed how mail is set up (from new, old, sent, spam, deleted mail to current style) and the Spam settings from numerous choices to only one (blocked). it seems the longer we continue to PAY for AOL Gold, the less we are getting for our money. I see by the Feedback that I'm far from alone in feeling AOL Gold does not seem "golden" to your PAYING customers.

The option to change the Date format in your mailbox is now available.
Here are the steps to change the Date format:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the toolbar.
3. Go to the ‘Mail’ category on the left.
4. Next to ‘Date Style’ select one of the options below.
Date Only (Month/Day/Year)
Show time for mail received today
5. Changes are saved automatically, so you can close the Settings window.In case you do not see the ‘Date Style’ option, you will need to update the AOL Desktop Gold to the latest revision. To do that, click on the Help menu on the top, select ‘Check for Updates’, and after 10-15 minutes close and re-open the software.

Thank you for this suggestion. This feature is now available on the Files Only view. When in Mail Read, select Files Only from the drop down that is defaulted to Mail in the middle of the top bar. Then click on a message to highlight it and right click to select interactive preview.

delete all
The delete all button in spam is the first button on right. All other windows have the delete button as the first button on right. This creates confusion. Habitually I hit the furthest right button. However, in spam I delete all msgs accidentally. Is there any help to re-obtain messages once permanently deleted? HELP!
