With incoming Email - the email address as to where it came from is much safer for the receiver. A Name can be a Scam. I know so can the address, but not as easy or likely. I really hesitate to open the mail on just a name and no back up address to compare..

Mail transferred from the Sent folder to the Saved on AOL folder, does not transfer with the address of the recipient; it transfers with my email address (the sender). It is very difficult to find a mail that you have saved and want to review when you cannot tell who you sent it to.

Sent mail Saved on AOL does not show recipient's email address. Instead, it shows sender's address, which is ME. This is stupid. I don't need to know that I sent it. I need to know to whom I sent it. Furthermore, I don't think mail "Saved on My PC" really is. If it was, I wouldn't need to sign on to read it. If it was, it would be transferable to another PC, and AOL says it is not. The new AOL Desktop Gold, which deserves an award for Worst Software Ever, behaves as if nothing is "Saved on My PC" except a link to mail which is only saved on AOL, accessible only by continuing to pay AOL a fee to use its Worst Software Ever. Is AOL ever going to bring back the functionality of previous versions? Or is it just going to stick with its Worst Software Ever until all its customers give up and go somewhere else?

But I've been telling this to Report a Bug for so long now. It is extremely hard to delete mail if your name is shown instead of the name of who you sent the email to. I like to keep my mailboxes clean but it is getting harder and harder to delete as you have to open and check each mail to see who you sent it to.

I have the same problem forever. It is hard to delete sent mail if it shows your name as the sender. Please fix this fast. It is very distressing.

I am trying to organize my email (for several years worth) and eventually move it onto my local computer. In the process I'm moving it to various folders on AOL. But when I move my sent mail to an AOL folder, the directory of that folder shows my screen name for every email that I sent instead of the name of the person that the email was sent to.
With the old AOL desktop software, it shows the send to address, the same as in the Sent Mail folder. It should not work that way.
