To access your Contact List and Groups go to your desktop mail by going to mail.aol.com :
1. Tap on Contacts on the left menu.

If you’ve started to receive an endless flow of junk email, you may be the victim of spam bombing. This is a tactic used by bad actors and hackers to distract you from seeing emails that really are important to you. This can also be an indication that another login account has been compromised.

By default, we block access to AOL Mail from outdated apps that could leave your account vulnerable. If we sent you an email indicating that your app is using outdated security protocols or you’re unable to log in from an older app, you still have several options available to you. Hi there, we are continually making changes to improve your experience. For advanced settings, go to mail.aol.com on a desktop computer and create filters under Mail Settings. You can filter incoming mail to go into Trash or Spam.

The update only created trouble as it is read only on my phone. Can't compose nor respond. There in no trash folder and I guess there's no need for a sent folder since I can't send anything.
Hello there! Please uninstall/reinstall the email app or remove and re-add your account to it.
If the issue persists, please turn your phone off/on and switch between data and WIFI.
Let us know if you see any improvement.

The new aol format is preventing me from accessing over 1/2 of my emails each day. i am missing seeing important emails daily. change it!

not all of my emails show at any one time. I have to delete emails to get more to appear. can miss some for days with new algorithm. sucks

puts messages in the "old mail" folder although I marked it as "unread". Aol screwed up this app.

You can go to mail.aol.com through a laptop/PC, click Options>Mail Settings>Block Senders then click the box from Block All Senders Except Contacts. Click Save Settings.

You can change your signature to exclude the ‘’sent from the all new AOL app from android’’ message, please go to Settings then Signatures.

While I am reading an email, don't auto open new email. I haven't finished reading the 1st one. Very annoying!
When new email arrives while I'm reading another, it is annoying when app auto opens that new arrival. It's ok to have audible sound for new mail, but not to automatically open it.

Beware of scam from *****, saying that our account has being use from another locations. Requesting passwords. Be aware.
