Completely missed the point, Dan...

I didn't say that 'children' are mature enough to make the decision to transition... because they aren't!

And, they DON'T make those decisions on their own!

Those decisions are made in conjunction with a team including their parents, psychologists, and medical doctors!

And, transition procedures are only performed at appropriate ages!

What I DID say was...
The studies show that children who've transitioned very rarely regret THAT decision!

Although they are still at higher risk of suicide and other self-destructive behaviors... mostly due to the disparaging treatment they receive from those in our society who fail to understand or empathize with their situation!

Gee... shocking, I know!
