If you must change anything, put it back & fix contacts to delete/change batches; add info to be your primary contacts list

Original AOL MAIL wasn't broken, but the contacts became unworkable so a fee basic fixes that would streamline memory, and reduce the size of ongoing call for memory:
*--ability to make group or mass deletes at one time: restored.
*--Ability to make the same correction or alteration on all profiles in a batch: restored
*--A separate area in contacts for support@" or "help@" and any related emails.
These are flagged top priority and may don't go to spam without 3 consecutive pings as spam or multiple people showing 1 as invalid.
*‐- As with support emails, sales emails, with 39 characters names and 190 truncated numeric alpha URLs so you don't know who they are or who they represent!
Bundle and if 0 contact in 30 days, auto delete, the URL add to SPÀM.
*--All personal contacts have spaces for birthdays, anniversaries, etc; names of significant others/spouses, pronouns (where necessary), and address and phone. Make this your list, not the Google list. Bridge-building NECESSARY to become an "account" that can merge with Google; share data to/with Google, Win, Samsung, Apple to have this contact list auto populate the phone contact ļist

I think that the programmers at AOL are on something chemical or being paid by another email provider to ***** up what was a simple but effective emailng system. Since the change there are spurious things that pop up and have no purpose and are just a distraction to using the system. What is TOP when you open the Contacts list?? it displays a number of 10 random names. When you fill in an email address a list pops up with related contact that are not at all related to the name you fill in!! What is ALL?? A truncated list showing the first 4 names of the letters of the alphabet!! LISTS is the only thing that seems to work in CONTACTS (see later). Why do you HIDE CONTACTS?? One of the main purposes of opening AOL is to send a message. This is done by accessing the contacts list and choosing the contact send the message to. I need to delete several old distribution lists, unfortunately the software won't allow me to do this and there is nothing on the very poor help folder to help me. AOL, there is an old adage. If it ain't broke don't try to fix it. By trying to fix what didn't need to be fixed. you have well and truly broken it!!! Listen to your customers or you will probably very soon have none!!
