AOL .. a long time (25+ years for me), trusted (no longer), fun (original) source of electronic communication (older emails lost forever), has not much to offer it’s loyal customers lately, except to continuously “ask” us to subscribe to a membership plan for AOL “support” (potentially fix all our email related issues). What could possibly render the need for a paid membership, if AOL customer support has done absolutely nothing to improve/fix/monitor years full of customer complaints/issues/problems/frustration .. Why is retrieving OUR emails such a struggle (password/log in/generated app pw)? Why is imap/smtp settings a constant issue now? Why would emails suddenly get lost with no chance of ever being found? Sadly, @aol.com has all the signs of a true (successful) scam!
