How can we improve the AOL app?

Recently I started receiving a lot of spam, some are very nasty. How can I stop this?

Hi there,

While most spam should be caught by our Spam filters, occasionally some can slip through. If that does happen it's very important to mark the email as Spam. It lets our system learn that messages from a specific place are not good and helps us make AOL Mail even better at recognizing future spam emails. Additionally, you can create filters to send specific emails to Trash, on the webmail at mail.aol.com and they will work while on the app as well.     Why are blatantly OBVIOUS spam emails suddenly flooding my inbox? Do you have to upgrade to the paid plan to get any spam filters? If this is the case, off to Gmail I go. 😒

    Ads should stay deleted once deleted. NOT immediately pop up again. Spam and unsolicited emails are NOT “conversations” when deleting them. Do not call them as such.

    Your customers don’t want a spam folder. We don’t want spam. Just stop sending the spam. I’m aware that if we pay for it, you’ll stop the spam so it doesn’t that mean that AOL is behind sending it if you can stop it if we pay you can stop it for free.

    Open on mail. It’s all from the left-leaning lying liberal news agencies. The enemy of We the People. Tired of looking at it. If not that add agencies from the right and middle. It’s only fair.

    100% agree. Especially when I open my Mail app to be greeted by an image of a beaten bruised woman or some other traumatising or sensationalist headline, or just AI garbage. Don’t want to see it.

    I am interested in the news and staying informed, but I would like to be able to go directly to my email without having the news pushed on me first. It’s not an option in the current settings to make that my preference. It’s fine with me if you want to put a news icon at the bottom of my email screen instead of the email icon at the bottom of the news screen.

    Stop sending me your liberal & bias news notifications which are 99% of the time dramatized & untrue. Just because I set my first email address up with you does not mean I want you to send me your opinion on of the news.
