I'm ready to go elsewhere. This new system is just like Yahoo mail and is the reason why I don't really use Yahoo. They say that they are gathering feedback but they really just don't care about their subscribers. They have been gathering for more than 2 months now and even I can see already that this new system is absolutely terrible. It is taking me more than twice the time it used to to go through my emails. As soon as I can, I will be leaving AOL!

adapting to change is necessary for improvements. The recent changes to aol mail shows no improvement overall. One of the things missing is "Old Mail". If I want to read a previously sent email to me, I cannot find it. the axiom of KISS. Keep it simple Spd comes to mind. I suspect the 'improvements' were given to junior staffer who still does not consider the end user in mind.

Get better instead of repeating bad decisions.

Really, this so-called NEW/Standard version is not working for me, and the BASIC version is unlike any version, . What's the point? What was supposedly wrong with the preNEW version that called for these "improvements". All I needed on the preNEW version was to be able to change the size of the compose-window and be able to move it so I could simultaneously work on more than one email, like copy from one and paste in another. Every time I open the NEW version I get closer to taking the trouble of moving to Gmail.

I agree - if the old version is not restored then I will be forced to change to a different email - this is a shame after 20 years. The new version is difficult to use, awkward, bulky, does not function as advertised,has messed up my contacts and lists, and is not user friendly. Why don't you have the option to return to the version of two weeks ago? Even you restore to basic AOL is not the version I had last week. Very dissatisfied. Not willing to wait for you to fix things - just give me back my old version.

I've been with AOL for may years and the old system worked fine. I didn't ask to change and I didn't want to change. I want the original platform back or I will go elsewhere.

I agree. I want the old platform back. I just waisted almost 2 trying to deal with this new version. It is terrible.

I agree ... this new format is horrible. It isn't a case of 'getting used to it' - it is awful. It takes forever to find something. Nothing deletes after being read. I can't scroll to find an older email that I had marked "unread" in order to find it fast. I "move" something to a folder and it stays in my inbox. It doesn't show the time marker for when an email came in - just the date. You have changed EVERYTHING that was great about AOL and have made it so that I will probably start using a different email platform. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!

I see MANY complaints about this ridiculous "new format". I want the BASIC/ACCESSIBLE that I have been using for YEARS to be restored! I pay $15 a month for this! I expect to be able to have a choice to go back to what has been working all these years. WHY do I see ads, when I am PAYING for this service??

I wish you would leave my mail account alone. I got used to the last changes but wasn't happy with them. Now I get frustrated more often than not! The buttons don't work. My files are rearranged by you (what the heck!). I DO NOT LIKE THE CHANGES!!!!!!

I am contacting all of the advertisers on AOL, and telling them how thousands and thousands of people are leaving AOL because you won't listen to your customers. Period.

I visit this particular board everyday and I see more complaints added each day! I hate the new format, it is not an improvement over the old version. Give me my old version back! Like so many others, I have stuck with you for almost 30 years, and had a paid account to boot. It is time for you to start listening to your customers.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE – With each and every point the writer below made. How do I get Classic back? I was/am very inconvenienced to suddenly have this implemented w/o my consent.

This new system is not working for me. Give me my old platform back. Settings to classic this is not my old format. It appears you really don't want feedback... this is not a new idea. I would like my old format...before it was just a scroll down to view older mail , now I need to select pages?? This not an improvement..thank you

I have used AOL since my first email and stuck w/you even though I get mocked all the time for still having it. I did so because I appreciated the old format therefore I didn't listen to the nay-sayres, but now that it is gone I have no reason to stay. If you don't restore the old format I will be leaving.

Agree with you. My pages canniot be loaded in limited amounts any more and you only see to be able to get single line spacing in the standard not the old basic. Terrible system now. I have been using since before 2000

I do not like this new system. Who came up with this. Probably someone new who wanted to show something new to their boss. Well, I do not like it and most of the people I talk to feel the same. At least give us the option. I like the old version, it more user friendly
