    PLEASE get rid of the ads on the right side of the screen. I pay for this service and don't want to see distracting ads!!

    Not that anyone at AOL cares but as soon as pop ups occur when trying to read the articles I close them without reading them. The excess advertisements are having a reverse effect !

    Hate the ads that pop up while you are doing your email. Have to keep going into the site to delete them out . What is going on here? If something isn't broke, why fix it? I have been a user for 18 years - I also see people are getting it cheaper than me. I pay $39 a month and I see folk are only paying $26. What's going on with that too? Will be checking that out.

    I have had it with your forcing us to read pages and pages with ads when we try to read an article from the welcome page. I refuse to open anymore and will notify advertisers on your first page I will not buy nor patronize them as long as they are a part of this. I realize I might be only one voice but I am sure I am not the only person who hates this and will join in demanding you give us some satisfaction.

    Please allow us to disable ads in the mail. I am willing to pay more to have no ads. They are terrible. They slow my mail and are too distracting.

    How about a version of AOL I can pay for with absolutely NO Advertising ??? Also you may want to bring back the wonderful message back grounds for Holiday, Occasions and such. Used it all the time and now its gone!!! And finally why should I keep and pay for AOL with five times the amount of advertising when I can just send everyone to my Gmail account and just say GO BYE to AOL..... :o[

    what a big distraction having the advertising video to the right of the mailbox. YIKES! heavens please put it back on the bottom of the mailbox if WE truly need it. peace

    Are you so hard up for money that we must have multiple pages of ads just to read an article from the welcome page. We pay for your cruddy service already.

    It is not acceptable to be paying for a software filled with ads that can't be totally removed.

    I think it is time for all us faithful aol subscribers to find another provider. What I loved about AOL for 20 years just went down the drain. Since I pay my monthly fee, why am I bombarded with all the ads that take up most of my inbox. Can't read my emails now for all the glaring ads popping up. You also took away the ability to block unwanted emails, so now we will get 100's more of the junk/spam emails that I could block after they showed up once. MY inbox is way too small and the ads are way too big. I can choose not to continue to pay the monthly fee, since it is now a waste of my hard earned money. Oh wait, AOL no longer cares about what is best for us, only what the new owners, Verizon, wants with all these stupid changes. Nothing about GOLD is good!!! We should have had a choice and not have been forced to make this change. Just lock us out of our screen names and force this on us. NO, I AM NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!

    Takes 30 seconds or more to load an email because of the ads on the side now. Also takes a long time to forward an email.
    If an email is forwarded to me and has a picture or even text...it is one line and now must make it a full page to see...very annoying and all because of the ad on the side.
    No one looks at those ads!!!!!!!!

    No wonder AOL has gone so far downhill. People laugh when you tell them you are still on AOL. Gold is one big ripoff. Eliminating IMs, eliminating name changes, lousy ads everywhere, slower mailbox, and for this we get the privilege of paying $5 a month. Thanks for nothing AOL.
