Gold goes un-repsonsive.. has happened 3 times in a row now. Please fix
I have been in a chat room and go back to the Chat Room Listing and Gold goes un-repsonsive.. has happened 3 times in a row now.
Please fix this version on AOL or go back to the old version that worked.
Please report this problem to our AOL Desktop Gold team so they can investigate it further:
1. Click the Help button in the top-right corner of the AOL Desktop window
2. Select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu
If the problem persists, please call 1-888-265-3733 to have one of our Technical Support Agents investigate the cause of this issue.

Periodically my Mail Signature disappears and I have to recreate it again. Also, periodically my address book disappears for a while. When the Address Book comes back, I find that changes I had made are not there, and I have to make them again. This has been going on for the past 6 months, even since we were switched to Gold. WHY?

Since the new Gold, 9 times out of 10, I get a black screen and it never goes to the website. Sometimes if I go back to the original email, and click it again it goes to the site, but sometimes never. If it can't be fixed, give us back our old AOL

I immediately upgraded to AOL Gold and have HATED IT ever since.
I have had many of the problems user have posted.
Missing emails, white screen, need to reboot.
All the "suggestions" got to blah, do x then y.
Keep in mind, ALL THIS USED TO WORK FINE IN DESKTOP 9.8,
I have been an aol customer since 1997.
I have never been so dissatisfied,
Please let us port back to desktop 9.8 until a truly better solution can be had.
I bet you have lost a lot of customers since the launch,
PLEASE.... I know it'[s tough, but please give us back 9.8. !!!! -

Why do I have to either restart my computer or shut it down to get my AOL to open up! Once in a blue moon it will magically open when I click from my desktop but it's rare! Never had an issue before Gold was installed..Why are you torturing us with this piece of worthless ****! It doesn't work and you've removed some of the things we really like about the old version. Step up and do it right!

In 9./8.2 all the chat rooms had the heart hyperlink that you could send to anyone.......Now those are gone as is the buddy list and IMs! Have you noticed that 95% of the chat rooms are empty??? Are you anti~social??? you've taken away some of the best features we used to enjoy!
Also, why are some emails sent are sent 2 or more times??? Never had that problem before! Seems this new and improved Gold is failed and a pain in the A**.....After all this time ....why can't the programmers get it right and fix all the things that worked before

please repair so the mail icon on welcome screen can again click on it and all emails appear as it always has

Half of them are no longer clickable and most of the rest of them open to crazy pages which have nothing to do what you are looking for. Has AOL gone completely mad???

You open task manager and you cannot delete it, you have to go down to the bottom of your toolbar to close window of task manager. Go back to AOL 9.8.2 GET RID OF AOL GOLD its crummy.
Who are the people who thought up these new idea's, need to hire new people that know how to make something the right way.

Was writing a suggestion and all of a sudden lost what I was writing. When I access different web sites, such as Real Clear politics, through Gold and click on an article Gold shuts down completely. Looks like you are trying to control content.
Gold is very poorly configured and needs to be replaced, or I need to change to another provider. -

For the past few minutes I've deleted the same emails at least 3 times. I can't even get email to open, yet when I delete anything it pops right back up in the mailbox. I've restarted the computer, changed screen names, everything I can think of and there is no remedy. It continues to reload.

If you're going to charge $5/mo., AOL Gold **** well better be much better than the previous AOL Desktop...and it's NOT! It's frozen and 'not responding' continuously and this morning--without warning--I lost dozens of recently kept e-mails. WHY?WHY?WHY? As a nearly 20-year AOL subscriber, I am one inch away from leaving for good!!!

I gave up using AOL Gold because you still have not fixed the MANY issues I have reported many times over. I now use Thunderbird, but I log into AOL Gold every now and then to see if it's any better. I just did that and it is still CRIPPLED! I can't believe it's taking you guys so long and still haven't fixed the MANY issues it has (over 4 months now). Even just clicking on the main screen to open the current news story takes up to a minute to open! And this is even after me buying a new CORE i7 Windows 10 laptop to see if it runs better. When are you going to fix all the issues I have reported? AND it even locked up while I was typing this message and just sat there for SEVERAL MINUTES until it finally started working again to allow me to finish typing this message. Then it locked up again and I had to use Task manager to close AOL and start over (luckily because I am used to this fiasco I had copied the message to the clipboard before it locked up so I could paste it back in after re-launching AOL Gold).

Still takes several attempts to launch/open the program, and then it's "not responding." Have to force close through Task Manager and try again.
* AOL's most important feature is MAIL, and if I don't have consistent access to list, open, read, reply, this program that I'm paying $19/month for, it's a waste of my time and money! Forcing a beta product on the paying members is not cool, guys!! -

Get rid of AOL Gold and bring back 9.8, or pay us to use AOL Gold as any charge is a rip off. This version wastes more time on emails being empty, emails not sending, delay in opening email, AOL Gold shutting down when deleting emails. It is a complete disaster.

I've been with aol for MANY years. One of the main reasons I kept it was for the email service....I really "liked" it. All of that is gone now!
I open my email and start down thru the list to delete those I don't want and they keep coming back! It seems to be getting worse. I spent entirely too much time this morning re-deleting emails!
After I do read any email, it doesn't always go away. The little red check mark doesn't appear as having been read and I end up having to delete it to get it to go away! And I don't want to delete these things...I still want them accessible.
I click to read and email and it opens but doesn't display the text inside. I keep having to close and retry.
After I reply to an email, I can't save it! I have to go ahead and send it and then go to "sent mail" in order to save it. This is especially annoying.
There's nothing "smooth" about using aol email any longer. I'm barely holding on to the desire to maintain this service.

Email windows constantly loading. 15 Minutes between pressing Next button and the message window changes to the actual next message. Program constantly not responding. I am using version 11.0.1630

Come on folks at AOL.....it has been 2+ months since Gold was implemented (forced on us).....and STILL I have to click on URLs to websites (whether in AOL news stories or within e-mails I receive) 3 or 4 times before "maybe" AOL will take me to that website!!!! Sometimes I even have to copy the URL from the AOL screen and paste it into my Firefox browser in order to go to the webpage desired ! This is hugely irritating folks - something that should have been fixed long ago. Like this is a major function of any web browser, yes?
Equally bad is that when I try to play the videos that AOL seems addicted to including on all of its news stories....when I do get AOL browser to go to the new story web page....after starting to play the video....it goes to a black screen with the message "Network Error - cannot play video". HUH ??????? But if I copy the web page URL and paste it into my Firefox browser..the video plays OK.

It constantly freezes and buffers. I spend HOURS trying to get online or having to task manager out of the program. I have called tech support many times. Mail doesn't work right and web pages freeze up constantly. Tech uninstalled and reinstalled and then I could not open AOL at all! And I am paying $$$ for this?

So "GOLD is not responding" but yet the ads continue to appear, the story I could care less about is playing, BUT I can't get out of anything, the screen is froze, everything is grayed out! I have to go into Task Manger to shout down AOL> Fix it or I'm canceling my PAID Subscription and it's just nor $4 a month! I lost count of how many times I got the "Not Responding" message today!

Gold Beta keeps giving me "not responding" messages, freezes up, and I have to reboot it. Been happening the last several days. Very Annoying! Anything a user can do to fix this? I've complained to AOL numerous times.
