Give us back the 9.8 features in Gold
Bring back desktop themes, stationery and emojis for mail, allow us to set up Favorites like we want them, make icons for toolbar available. Most of the time when I'm typing a e-mail, the type doesn't keep up with me and thus missing letters or words. Give us back all the features of 9.8 because Gold is seriously lacking most everything.

AOL GOLD techs are not only idiots, but have no idea how to fix this 'made from scratch' desperation program . When AOL was purchased by Verizon (Oath, LLC) they did not get the 9.8 program in the deal. So, now a bunch of mindless twits are scrambling and dropping the ball altogether to come up with something similar to 9.8 but is aint working. Just look at the raft of complaints in this feedback section. Worse yet, is that now they charge for this sh*t? What colossal stupidity.

I'm tired of posting comments about all of the problems. No matter what I post about, my posts either get closed or deleted. Half the time they don't even understand what I am saying. And the worst part is that so many times I get the same "clear your browser" reply when that has nothing to do with the problem. I clear my browser many times a day.
With all the problems I have new ones are appearing all the time. I'm ready to give up and leave AOL after being a member since the 90's. AOL is incapable of fixes. They spend time by doing tiny unimportant fixes such as adding an ignore button in chat rooms because they can't fix the important problems. I am mad but also sad as I have always loved AOL until the Gold version.

AOL Gold is a disaster. Heads should roll for not at least giving us a choice. I have been a customer for over 20 years and have never been so disappointed. I have seen no improvements but there are numerous glitches. I have been to tech support with no permanent positive results. It appears to be time to join most of my friends and colleagues and make a switch to another company.

Since the forced upgrade (Misnomer?) to AoL Gold I've had more problems than I've ever had since joining in 1995. The program is fraught with issues that should never have been released and I've complained about them many times. I've always been recommended to provide feedback under the Help session and I will certainly do so with specific details. If these issues are not resolved soon, I will be forced to change service providers. I have two other friends who feel the same way. The Tech Support team has always been well trained, courteous, helpful and easy to reach. It is not their fault that the new program is faulty. I was recently told that the change to AoL Gold was made due to so many complaints of hacking and that many features were lost that have not yet been re-implemented. That is a poor excuse as they should have been resolved before the launch. That is irresponsible on the part of AoL management and I urge you to get it back together. Bob CoffeyResponse to AoL Survey in early March, 2018
This was one of many calls to AoL Tech Support since we were forced to switch to AoL Gold due to myriad problems. Having been an AoL user since 1995, I have remained with them due to good service and excellent tech support. However, AoL Gold has been a huge disappointment that is causing me to consider an alternative service. The reasons have been reported on many calls, but they have not been resolved to my satisfaction and I am very disappointed. Bob Coffey -

i really wonder if AOL even is trying to do anything to help their long term paying customers with the numerous GOLD faults + problems - every response i've seen or heard from them is USELESS or just plain scripted LIP SERVICE - totally frustrating !!!

AOL -- isn't it time to admit you made a mistake forcing Gold on us and go back to a version that actually works all the time -- like 9.8.2?

Worst ever. So many issues I cannot keep up. Now I have some kind of new "code" that appears in my emails. They say nothing they can do about it, just ignore it. I have been with AOL almost 30 years, ever since Gold was introduced (mandatory), too many issues to list. Nothing ever gets done about it...

There are so many bugs in Gold that AOL either will not or cannot fix. Why not start afresh, knowing what AOL customers really want? The monthly $5.00 charge from all of us has already covered the cost of such an upgrade, especially since 9.8.2 could serve as the template for a new version.
