So they refuse to change My Favorite Places back to the far better and more useful non-alphabetical version. Everyone hates the current version so it must be pure ego.

Stationery, Themes, Emoji's, Being able to use backgrounds...being able to right click and insert pictures...making links work..having the resize option the same as 9.8. The pictures are distorted in AOL Gold.

1. speed....Gold is way too slow. Speed it up!!!
2. allow me to organize favorites as I wish, and not mandate they be only in alphabetical order
3. fix the " save password" feature so that it actually works
4. return to older e-mail address auto prompt

UNFORTUNATELY THE FOLLOWING OCCURRED TODAY (1/23/2018). Here are seven (7) issues I was confronted with by your new AOL GOLD today.

1 ***TODAY - I was forced to download AOL GOLD and AOL 9.8 was blocked from using today - completely shut down 1.23.2018. It would NOT even let me send an email to myself NOR to a group of people I send out to daily (a very small bulk group).

2 ***AOL GOLD is way too slow.
3 ***There is a Mail Folder in My Mail Folders (under Saved on MY PC) called "Mail You've Sent" that collected emails that was previously sent for a number of years....THIS appeared upon downloading AOL GOLD today there were thousands of emails in this folder. It was painstaking to delete these one at a time. FYI: Due to a disability that I have; I can not do repetitive motion which will cause me to lose the use of my arms and hands. VERY UNFAIR TO ME AND IN VIOLATION OF THE AMERICA'S DISABILITY ACT.

4 ***ALSO: I delete many emails daily usually over 100 emails. To delete these I would go to "Recently Deleted Emails"....then, I'd go to Edit (top left), then - clicked select all and it would highlight all of them .....then, I clicked on delete. THIS DOESN'T WORK EITHER. I have to repeat this a second time in order to permanently delete these emails<~~~this function does not work any longer either and it's deleting my emails one at a time again. This again is repeating usage of my hands which I CAN NOT DO...it will cause me to lose the use of my arms and hands. You are doing harm to me.

5 *** When I click on anything it's takes way too long to open up or switch to.......Taking way too long.

6 ***IF YOU HAVE ALL THESE KINDS O BUGS why on earth did you force use to use AOL GOLD and also forced us to not to be able to enter our AOL 9.8 Version? WHY? You have discriminated against many people who are disabled which is against the law that is Federally Mandated.

7 ***I also do not wish to use mail.aol.com to access my email. WILL NOT USE IT.

What amazes me reading all these emails - and I have not found one that says they prefer gold over 9.8.2. - is what a loyal base you have had for 20 years - people have stayed with you because you had a system that worked. Why did you change it? Why couldn't you have updated it from time to time. But to force folk from one system they used and liked to another (which obviously they don't) was very, very wrong. Can you tell us the real reasons for this change?

HAVING PROBLEMS PUTTING PHTOS/PICTURES IN MY EMAIL - HAVE TO SEND MANY EMAILS TO GET THEM OUT - 25 MEGABYTES IS NOT ENOUGH MEMORY

I don't think I would ever pay for Gold but might consider paying for 9.8. to have my old life back. :)

AOL CAN YOU HEAR US NOW? DO YOU SEE ONE SINGLE COMMENT THAT SAYS HEY AOL, THIS IS FABULOUS! THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR LIVES EASIER! NO YOU DON'T. Please pay attention to your users, please allow our voices to be heard and heeded. We need a workable aol back, 9.8 was just fine, it let us do so many things that are now not available. Consider the number of users you're going to lose, the amount of money you're going to lose. There is no way you can fix the number of problems this program has, just reinstate 9.8 and you're going to have nothing but thank you's posted on here. Compare this to the boondoggle that was 0bamacare, how much it cost the taxpayers and how ineffective it was. This situation is analogous to that.

By the way - I wrote the comment above. I seldom complain about things that I have no control over, BUT, in this case, I have tried to recap some of my major complaints and suggestions for what for your tech team to acknowledge. Seriously, this AOL Gold product is much inferior to what I was using in the Fall. I have always been an AOL user - more than 20-25 years. I have experienced many product upgrades in my lifetime. This is the the first product "upgrade" that resulted in a severe product downgrade - especially from a user's viewpoint. I'm real disappointed in your AOL GOLD product that came to us with very little warning. I know, you will send this to your tech team; in the meantime, we users need some real assurance that your Gold Version will significantly improve.

No idea, this GOLD stinks, to say the least...go back to 9.8.2, at least it worked!!!!!

The bar just above this box could not keep up with my typing -- I type with two or three fingers. This version is much, much slower in almost every way, than the previous version. Much slower in opening emails and sending emails. I get better service with speed of deleting emails and reading emails using my iPhone. This is not satisfactory and you should know it. I believe non of these problems can be helped with your Help Site. One more thing: Why did you discontinue the "Saved on my PC" feature without any warning? To get my previously save on PC email back took over 20 hours on my desktop and on my laptop. And, one of your agents said that emails could not be added to it.

I totally agree with other comments to go back to 9.8.2!

In summary, I hate to be so negative sounding, but this version is a significant regression instead of a progression. It looks like you are trying to drive us long time users away from use of AOL. It's not as good as it was in the old days.

This "gold Desktop" is a disaster. It is slow, it won't let me save files correctly and it is obtuse and unwanted.

What's wrong with you people?

Why is 9.8 still locked out? Why are you treating paying customers like dirt?

I realize you guys are trying to get a new desktop, GOLD, working right - but why oh why did you turn off a working version, 9.8, BEFORE you have GOLD working!?!?!

I Beta tested, but with the EMAIL issues that are STILL not fixed (I reported them over & over) I wasn't able to use GOLD. Are you *forcing* users into GOLD to find the problems that were ignored for so many months of Beta testing??

I agree that Gold does not measure up to Version 9.8.2. PLEASE bring it back!!!
