For AOL Favorites, please re-include the “OPEN” Command in AOL’s File Menu dropdown box, as in AOL 9.8.2
The MANAGE FAVORITES button (now in Version 11.0.1550) allows you to use the ‘SAVE' Option to save a copy of your current AOL Favorites list to a folder of your choice. And the “REPLACE” Option will let you ‘recall’ it in the future for replacing your then-running AOL Favorites list.
Sometimes, however, you need only to simply access (view and display) the contents of one of these ‘saved’ AOL Favorites.fav files (i.e. but NOT ‘replace’ your currently running AOL Favorites).
So please re-include the “OPEN” Option (in AOL’s File menu dropdown box), allowing you to quickly navigate to it and Open it, --as it was in AOL 9.8, and prior releases!
Thank you

It's odd that I can save my Favorites file anywhere I wish, but there is no way to retrieve it. "Open file" is missing from "File" at the top left of the welcome page. I have several files of Favorites I saved from the previous version and have a great need to retrieve them. PLEASE, PLEASE, make it possible for me to retrieve a saved Favorites file!!!! file!!!!!!!!!

With the previous version of AOL, I saved my Favorites about every three or four months. When I wanted to open one of those files where Favorites was saved, I found that File at the top left of the new Gold AOL didn't have a way to open the file like the previous version did. PLEASE, make it possible to open a file when using "File"!!!! There have been several times I needed to open a file saved on the previous AOL. Why can't I open one in the new, rotten version??????

In 9.8 under File at top left of screen, I could open a text or photo file and copy it into an e-mail. Not so with this wonderful (?) new AOL Desktop Gold. Please restore "Open File" under "File" link in upper left header. GEEZ... I would think Open File would be most appropriate under a "File" header link !!!!!

Under previous versions of aol one could click on "File" on the top tool bar, get a dropdown menu with the first item being "open". That would open a windows explorer type page with one's files. That option no longer exists. It seems that you removed any type file or picture viewer from within aol. What genius came up with that idea? I don't want to have to go into windows explorer to look at files.

You have taken so much away from us. no buddy list or IM's and it isnt the same as talking back and forth in email. Cannot add backgrounds to email, no download manager, cannot access mail that i saved on my pc because to took the open button away. So all the stuff i have saved on my pc i have not way to open it. cannot edit links for my groups it wont work right. I feel like you improved some things with the aol gold and somethings you made worse. I would like to know where you got the information from saying what us aol users wanted. You sure didnt give us what we wanted.

In 9.8, there is an OPEN option on the FILE drop down menu that accesses the Documents library allowing you to copy text from a file in the library and add it to an email being composed.
Hoping to see this added to 11 -
