I keep getting messages such as: "We are having difficulty retrieving your mail; try again in 5 minutes.

I keep getting messages such as: "We are having difficulty retrieving your mail; try again in 5 minutes. Same for sending mail. Also for updating favorites. Tech has no answer for me. I am frustrated.

Try refreshing the mailbox. Click on the Mail option on the top of the desktop screen and select Refresh Mailbox from the drop-down menu.

    Even when that comes up, it still sends or saves to draft. That is why there are so many duplicate emails. No one knows this. I have reported this bug several times.

    Make mail more accessible. Cure the "not responding" situation that so often occurs.

    When sending an email even one to myself, much less anyone else, I'm often given the message, wait 5 minutes and try again. Its actually longer than that but its the gist of it. I have now attempted to send the same email 3 times, waiting for the mail to go thru. Its extremely aggravating.

    Mail with Gold is terrible - half the time, it's not loading right, and the other half of the time, I am told that I can neither send nor receive mail, and to try back later.

    every time I hit REPLY on an email that has a lot of text or photos in it, I get the message, "We can't send this email; try again in 5 min

    Refreshing the mail box does NOT fix the problem it's on YOUR END not mine! Also have had NEW mail listed in OLD Mail when it hasn't been read yet! GOLD is really a ****!

    ITS TAKEN AN HOUR TO SEND 3 EMAILS. I'VE GOTTEN THE TRY AGAIN IN 5 MINUTES SEVERAL TIMES AND AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO SEND AN EMAIL. WHY IS THIS STILL AN ISSUE?

    I'm being warned that I can't read any mail for 5 minutes, and when I try to get something else done I keep getting my work interrupted with pop-up mail warnings repeatedly that I have to swat down like flies before anything else will function again.

    Once again, Gold cannot load my email, and won't open those emails already in my box. Can it be any worse? Get rid of this trash! "Try again in five minutes to access your email." REALLY? Back to Edge to use the backdoor access-your new desktop is so bad, it is not worth the headaches.

    Correct all the bugs with this aol desktop gold. I am also getting the 5 minute try again and I have about had it. Fix it soon or I am gone. And I was an orginal member. I fight everyday with friends as to why I still have aol and now have to pay for it. 9.8 I didn't pay for and it was great. I am giving it one more month then I go to Gmail.

    OMG. This is more than frustrating. I've been working for 2 hours to send 4 emails, they have attachments but aren't outrageously large, and I keep getting the message to try again in 5 minutes. TWO HOURS FOR 4 EMAILS!!! FIX THIS **** OR GIVE US BACK A WORKING VERSION OF AOL. ****

    When I have to wait 5 minutes and then try again to get an email to send, there is something wrong with AOL. If this happened occasionally I might be able to understand, tho I NEVER got that message with the previous version of aol, but this is nightly. This is a major issue. MAJOR!

    I don't understand what the problem is with saving an email to send later. I've tried 3 times to send an email, I keep getting the try again in 5 minutes error message, so I tried to send it to my send later file. Even that is giving me the same message, try again in 5 minutes. How long are we supposed to wait to send an email, and then to try and send it to a file for later? The real problem here is that mail will eventually show up as sent and it will be multiple times. I'll never understand why all the problems weren't worked out prior to FORCING your subscribers, your money contributors, into a program that doesn't work for ****. Its hardly worth staying with aol anymore and I've been a customer for more than 20 years. Its too frustrating!

    I frequently get a message that AOL is unable to open my message and to try back in 5 minutes? This is progress?
