aol mail on desktop gold
my emails won't reset to date order if I change the alphabetical order
The mailbox list should return to the default order after you closed the software.
An easier way to see the emails arranged by date is to click on the Date header on the top of the mailbox list. The column header will display an up arrow to indicate the list is being sorted in ascending order or a down arrow to indicate the list is sorted in descending order.

"Incoming mail now appears in reverse date order"
'm not sure what happened, but all of a sudden when I moved my hand, the incoming and old email receiving dates all flipped so now the oldest email appears. I don't want to have to scroll all the way down to read the new mail.

I have found that when I list email by screen name, I can't revert it back to by date; further it goes to every screen name I have. If I'm in one name and list by screen names, then switch to another name, the mail in that name is also listed by screen name. The only way out of this is to close aol completely, sign out of it and sign back in. So many things are not functioning properly. This is just one of many.
