i was chatting with a tech a few days ago and told him how much trouble i was having with AOL gold i told him i was having trouble with Failed to load URL https://w.main.welcomescreen.aol.com/ with error ERRCONNECTIONRESET (ConnectionReset). he told me to switch to Chrome. and signed off. very rude my idea is to get rid of jerks like him.

I have had more trouble with AOL GOLD than I ever had with any of the other AOL programs before BTW I have had AOL for years

Why am I suddenly getting this????? Http/1.1 Service Unavailable informing your paying clients might avoid getting emails that might be solved if someone was using their brains to tell paying customers why they do not get the startup screen, but instead get an error

since u took over aol your service and tech support has been totally unacceptable. I pay good for a service I have been on the phone numerous times for hours without my problem being resolved. use this for my business an as a result have lost clients if these problems are not recolved u will be the one losing a client

AOL Gold is the worst. It crashes, it takes a long time to work. When you actually get it to open something you would like to read there are so many ads that block the article that you just give up and shut it. You have to constantly re-do the welcome screen to even get it to open. You also get messages cutting in that want you to re-enter you user name and password and if you close it without entering the info AOL shuts down. I have been with AOL for over twenty years and am really close to cancelling the service. No matter how many times you tell the tech department about these problems they ignore them. Stop ignoring customer problems and fix the program.

This is very annoying when I ave been customer since 1993 to have to gor through this sign on aggravation. I do not receive a sign on screen at all !!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent over 2 hours on the phone with the AOL help line, tech support, trying to fix a problem with opening up my email. After 2+ hours on the phone and spending $49.99 for System Mechanic, the problem still exists. I fear calling back and working with a person that I cannot understand. He also took control of my computer and said the problem is now fixed. NO it is not.

another scripted solution that does nothing to solve problems - only ON AOL GOLD do i have to restart 10 + times in a few hours ! problem is with gold programming + formats - ALL other stes work properly -

Under ReviewWe reported the error, ERR_CONNECTION_RESET issue you were having to our product team. Unfortunately this is a generic message when the browser doesn’t get a response from the webpage it was trying to load. This can be caused by any number of things including the website being down, settings on your computer blocking or causing challenges with your connection, a firewall, antivirus software or a number of other things that could have caused the response from that web host from getting back to the AOL browser.
The first thing you can try if this is happening frequently is to restart your computer. If this does not resolve it, you can do a search online for the error name and see which of the other troubleshooting steps you want to try.

totally agree - techs give scripted solutions that do not work + blame them on computer settings when the problem is with AOL programming + inherent faults in gold !
