Fix the AOL Gold program so that it loads out faster. The new Desktop is touted as being faster, but it takes forever to load out.
Doing the steps listed in a previous post about the new AOL Gold being slower is not the answer. The old AOL Desktop never had issues loading out and one didn't have to do the steps listed below. It's the normal 'canned' response of developers to put the problem(s) back on the user(s).
The problem is more than likely within the programming of the new software. I feel paying for something that is slower than the previous version is unacceptable.
Please try the following steps:
1. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu.
2. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings. No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.
