Missing a ton of email

Inbox says I have several emails I mean thousands (which I should because I am lazy and don't check often plus get a lot of junk) but I have 4 new emails and old ones I had saved as new a long time ago. Where did the rest go? Says 3000 emails has 15... Where did they go, when I need to see some of them? Is this because of windows update? Windows 10 updated, and restarted then my aol was unresponsive, I ended the task now no matter how many times I close and open aol I can't see my emails.

    I've lost mine twice in the last 8 months.
    AOL does nothing to recover. Finally working on switching to a gmail account and dumping aol after 20+ years

    aol is more interested in banning and shadow banning folks then fixing their now corrupt platform they are trying to be the ministry of speech control

    HELP.. my 'new mail' suddently disappeared since January.. I cannot find a live person to solicity HELP from donwy@aol.com

    Today mail that was in my "old" folder somehow ended up in my "recently deleted" older. Later, when I was on line with an AOL tech, the mail that was in my "sent" folder disappeared. Can you tell me what is going on?

    How is possible to miss 7 years of emails?
    Can you please react fixing the issue?

    Only few emails in the period from Sep 2007 to Dec 2014 are visible:
    2009 = 1
    2011 = 2
    2012 = 8
    2014 = 8

    Also trying with the several filters available, emails are not visible.

    This is not good!

    Please restore all of my emails that you have deleted twice now and a lot of them were important. Getting real fed up with the way you delete everything and am seriously thin g of going to YAHOO!!!!!!!!!

    I am missing about 2800 emails from the new mail folder they just disappeared. the old mail older stops at 8/21/2018 and then lists mail for 9/24/2016 back to 2012. Where did the email go?

    I am missing six months of my old emails from 12/20/17- 7/1/18. I did not delete 6 months of my emails. I need these emails to be restored ASAP

    I am missing old incoming mail for the months of March, April, May and some at the beginning of June of 2018. The sent mail is there. I refer back to these very often. What happened to them and I get them back?
