To enable new mail notification sound go to:
Edit→ General Settings → click on Sounds tab → check the box next to You’ve got mail.
changes are saved automatically
Please note that if an email is opened first on another device (phone/tablet or another PC) you will not hear the new mail notification sound in AOL Desktop Gold.

In version 11.0 build 3950, when I go to Settings > Personalization > Sounds > Customize my Sounds, or navigating directly via Keyword "Customize my Sounds", when I browse the (wonderful and fun) list of sounds, the preview don't play when I click the Play button. I have to apply a sound, go back to the Sounds dialog and then play them there. This worked well in prior releases, so I just wanted to report a bug. Nothing major but should be reviewed when someone has the time. Thank you so much in advance!
PS, I'm really enjoying the new version, and I think it's great!
