When you select a news item on home page why does the volume TRIPLE? VERY INNOYING

Please report this problem to our AOL Desktop Gold team so they can investigate it further:
1. Click the Help button in the top-right corner of the AOL Desktop window
2. Select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu

Please reduce the sign on volume to less than mid range on sign on. As it is now, each time I sign on the sound blasts "You've got mail!" to me and everyone in the house. It is very annoying. This used to happen on each AOL update, now it happens much more often, seemingly, each time I log on.
