Improve your account verification process! I recently bought a new computer, installed AOL Desktop Gold and then you folks wouldn't allow me to use my email and sent me a verification code for security purposes at my recovery Gmail address. I entered the verification code into AOL Desktop Gold and instead of just accepting it and bringing me to my AOL email, a pop up appeared insisting I secure my account and reset my password. What's the point of a verification code to a recovery email address if you're going to force me to reset my password anyway? I didn't want a new password. I called Customer Service and they could do nothing for me and wanted me to reset my password which I had to do . This has created an unnecessary hassle for me this morning. Improve your procedures so they work like everybody's else's -- when you send a verification code to a recovery email address just accept it and let the person into their account.
