    Just updated aol. All my favorites erased.

    accessing favorites through AOL Desktop Gold and encountering the same problem
    aol chat used to open from favorites now it defaults to a search page

    YES. I click on the favorite on my favorites as I've been doing for years. The address appears in the address box, but won't open. When I copy and paste the URL address from AOL to Internet explorer it opens and and other URL's open on that page.
