If you are staying on Windows 7, do NOT reinstall Windows unless you want to go through the hassle of copying system files.
I have a few Win7 computers and noticed that when I did a fresh install on one of them I could no longer download AOL Desktop Gold. It gave a "download error". I called tech support and they said Windows 7 is no longer supported, which is silly. Windows 7 still works perfectly.
I had to take the installation files and Program Files folders and copy them from another computer to make it work. 11.0.4125 is the last version for Windows 7.
