Figure out a way for the cognitively impaired to be able for us older folks out here or I am afraid I'll have to delete my account.
To make a way for the older generation with cognitive impairments that can't understand these incredibly complex pages easier for us to understand. I got this way by the loss of oxygen, which just keeps debilitating. I don't normally request this, but I have to face the facts here about tho is this issue. Not accustomed to getting help because I don't need to lose my dignity. It's humiliating to ask. On my desktop or laptop rather, the online won't let me log on and it passes 2 steps even. I need some **** help here.

I have no problem with the email, but the news that comes up before the email does is nothing but liberal garbage.
Make the email come up first so I don't see the garbage news.

Allow user to default to MAIL and not NEWS especially for PAYG people. It actually COSTS MONEY each time your app defaults back to news !!
Defaulting to 'news' page causes unwanted data usage and waste of money for PAYG users when all they might want to do is check their email!

Make the button for closing an ad in the inbox bigger. It's too small.
I hate the ad going full-screen when I am actually clicking the "X" button. Make the target area for closing them big enough for normal-size fingers so it doesn't take three tries to close an ad. I still refuse to use any products advertised this way on principle.

Change your policy regarding account recovery. verifying emailsubjects/recipients/folders you've created is not information people remember.
if you forget forgettable information on you're account you're locked out forever if there's a problem. don't think for a second AOL's agents will treat you like a human either, copy-paste nonsense until you give up. If you've read this far I suggest you switch email providers IMMEDIATELY.

change the fact that the previous email is displayed and send in the answer email.
When I answer an email that was previously send to me, the content of that previous email is displayed as well as in "On Thursday at 5 p.m. person xy wrote: ...".
When I send the email that previous answer is always send as well and can only be removed manually which takes for ever. Introduce an option to disable that the content of the email received is shown in my reply.

I wish my custom Folders were more easily accessible. i.e. allow me to add shortcuts to them in the left hand menu, or in the top menu bar.
Custom folders feel "hidden" and pointlessly under a "sub folder" menu. wish they could be more easily accessible in one click

a PDF preview would be useful - that or if the app would download it to be displayed correctly in Acrobat reader. Business invoices people!
I want to see the PDFs emailed to my business. There is no preview. The only way to view them is to download them to open in Acrobat reader and THEY DON'T DOWNLOAD CORRECTLY - half the information is MISSING. Apple has this working in THIER app, so it certianly is not impossible to do
