When typing in an email address, it should autofill

The old AOL used to autofill the email address when you typed in a few letters
Now with Gold, you must type and then click which is an extra step
Please restore autofill

    SOLVED - the problem is some kind of over-caching or slow-updating, as everything about the web email interface worked as it should _the_next_day.

    I click COMPOSE, then move the mouse to the "To" field and type a name (for example Chuck) that's in my address book. But the system doesn't find it because that name is not in the actual email address (continuing the example the contact list says "Chuck Kollars" <**@yahoo.com>). How can I get the address search to look at actual names too, not just the email addresses?

    When i try to add or edit the names in an existing group, the new name i want to add does NOT automatically populate the field..i have to know the full email address to add it.

    I don't like having to go to my address book every time I want to send an email. The auto-complete function was another useful one that seems to have disappeared.

    I used to be able to modify an address if there was an error in the original; now I have to click on the little 'x' to wipe it out completely and type in the entire address. This is ridiculous. As an example, one website adds an extra period, it comes out as dot dot com, but I can't simply delete the extra period.

    Yes, what occurs is a dropdown (usually) that presents any and all addresses that resemble the one you want, and it's easy to select the wrong one. Why not just autofill like before? How is this a positive change?

    Change it back to 9.8 when typing in a email address. Under the old system it would only bring up the first few letters. Now anything that has those letters in comes up. Example I would type in debb and only a few names would come up. Now any name that has that in comes up, sometimes 20-30 names.
