AOL Gold does not allow me to save emails on my C drive in sub-directories for efficient organization - my AOL 9.8 allowed me to do this.
Talking to 3 AOL representatives, I was told this function is not available in AOL Gold. I respectfully request that this previous function to drag emails to subdirectories on the C drive be installed in AOL Gold.
The work around entails coping each email (a two step process) to a text file, and then copying that text file to the C drive subdirectory that would also then have to write a heading for the text file with date and sender name. That is not efficient nor acceptable.
The AOL saved on my PC is encripted and can only be opened with AOL Gold. If AOL goes away, my data would not be accessible.

Everything is in the cloud now. It could be worse. AOL Gold on one of my screen names gives me old email content when I click new emails. There is some computer corruption in the code in the cloud with AOL Gold. If I sign on with IE I can access the new email correctly.

I have stuck with AOL for 25 years! People would say "AOL is 'old school, why don't you get a gmail or hotmail account? I defended AOL all of those years! The ability to make a backup of all emails in the 'organize' folder was one of AOL's BEST features. Now AOL has fallen behind modern technology that allows customers to save and backup THEIR OWN emails such as PST files in Outlook! If AOL does not allow me to backup MY emails, I will FINALLY say Good Bye AOL!
