Word processor in composing email is horrible! When I try to paste from a word document it does not retain the original formating and font.
I hate this feedback area too. It is too hard to type without fighting your system. I cannot paste from a document into an aol email that I am composing without losing the formatting and font. There is no option to retain formatting from originating document. But it was automatic under your old version. You are getting worse and not better with this new version. I may have to make the switch to gmail and drop you is you do not improve.

Who do AOL's (Verizon's) coders think they are that they can FORCE users into accepting THEIR view of how an email should be formatted? You closed at least one earlier thread on this idea AND HAVEN'T DONE A DAMNED THING TO CORRECT IT since then. Leave blank emails unformatted and allow users to create a default template of their own ... just as is done with default fonts. Stop adding blank lines to MY emails!

Ensure that documents created with MS-Word and other computer applications like Excel and PowerPoint will be properly formatted when pasted onto the AOL email as an email. It is very inconvenient and confusing to the recipient when the sender has to send the doc as an attachment.

Copying Word document text over to AOL Gold - the format is not retained. I have a composition in single space that turns to double space- Please have this "bug" fixed as soon as you can. It would be great if you could move the codes around to have this feature sorted out. Thanks!

Please don't mark this as Duplicate, because the problem has never been fixed. When I create a document in Word to copy into the body of an email, it still needs to be re-formatted. This wasn't the case in previous versions of AOL. Please fix it.

I agree. Also if you copy and paste logos, jpg or png files on to body of email, recipient receives only a square - blank or with a corner pattern
(9.8.2 worked so well.. All that needed to be done was to use 9.8.2 as the foundation and build on that where necessary.) -

Link fonts to those on computer word processor e. g. MSWORD. Emails have default double line. Give us line space choice

The new AOL Gold had lost functionality with Microsoft Word. That is when one pastes something on AOL that has been typed in Word YOU LOOSE for formatting. THIS IS A DISASTER. Please FIX! and let me know when done.

I find that when I copy word documents to emails they have double line spacing. Can we have a line spacing choice facility please? E.G. Single line spacing.

I have had the same formatting problem when pasting a document from Word since the beginning of Gold. It still hasn't been fixed. This -- and all the other problems -- have been going on for about 6 months now. When can we expect your programmers to fix these problems?

go back to your old format or correct the new one to allow me to cut and paste form my Word Doc. I can only do this if I bring up my mail in google and send from their platform. the free mail was much better. What exactly are you charging for as the product is inferior?????

This it totally insane. What use to take me 5 minutes NOW TAKES ME OVER AN HOUR. I don't know how AOL can get away with this. They are in violation of my disability and I am going to file a law suit. THEY ARE PATHETIC ............!!! Perhaps since VERIZON bought them they may be trying to force our hands to use their VERIZON email accounts. Just saying.

Transfer of word documents to a email should not change font and spacing. It does & I can not easily change the doc back to original form

Make copy and paste from a Word doc simple so I can keep it in the same format, (and not add in all those extra skipped lines).

We run a small business. Often I will compose an email in Word, then copy it to AOL. The formatting is all wrong. Please fix this compatibility issue.

With GOLD, INSERTIONS INTO EMAIL FROM word ARE DISTORTED.
And it's a mess!
How can I copy and past from word into an email? -

AOL Desktop Gold no longer holds formatting if I paste something into an email. I work from templates and if I use aol mail from a browser the spaces and other formatting work perfectly. But when I paste in formatted text into a Desktop Gold email, all spaces are lost and I must edit each mail individually which defeats the purpose of using my text files and requires 3x the time to compose dozens of emails. Please fix this, it worked perfectly in AOL 9.8

YOU JUST DO NOT LEARN NOR FIX FROM ANY COMPLAINTS.
PLEASE SET UP A DICTIONARY
9.8.2 HAS HUNDRED OF FONT DESCRIPTIONS....GOLD HAS MAYBE 12...TWELVE...WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT.?????
DONT YOU KNOW WHAT THE WORD IMPROVEMENT MEANS?? YOU CANT PROVE THAT BY THESE HUNDREDS AND HUNDRES OF COMPLAINTS..I COULD NOT EVEN FIX THIS LAST MISPELLED WORD TO HUNDREDS??? NOR EVEN THIS WORD TO MISSPELLED . I JUST GIVE UP
