I would suggest that on the 'write mail' screen that the 'B' for bold be light colored in the normal mode and dark when on bold print.
It's backwards now. It is dark on normal and really light on bold.

Is it possible that future releases of AOL Desktop Gold could support Windows dark mode? The legacy Win32 appearance of ADG looks highly out of place on a Windows 11 system running in dark mode. I know this would involve some changes to what low-level APIs get used, but it's a good time to implement this since AOL have already dropped support for Windows 7. This means that the UWP frameworks could be utilized to modernize the application.
