Every time I have logged into AOL over the past several days, I get a solicitation to purchase a data security program. I thought that by paying for AOL, I would avoid these offers.
Not only am I getting the offers, but you insult me with the 'decline' option. The yes option says "Sign me up." The no option is "I don't want to protect my data." 'Insulting' isn't actually the right word. Angering is. I already have data protection software. A simple "No thank you' would be the appropriate tag line, but you go out of your way to force me (and others) to call myself stupid by demanding that we check a box that practically gives your permission to steal our data (since we obviously don't want to protect it) to have access to our accounts.
Get rid of the ads, change the tag language and I'll be a bit happier.

This change in reporting news stories really sucks. I hate it so much that i refuse to buy anything advertised on your screens. I usually opt out of a story after two or three "next page' and curse this process.

Why do we have to keep clicking "next page" over and over. Stop the **** ads. I can never finish a story. They are ridiculous covering the entire page with no way to get out. Stop, stop, stop!!! Or I am going to gmail after being with AOL for over 20 years. I mean it. STOP IT!!
FIX IT!!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, LIKE NOW!!!!!!!! You all had better wake up and smell the coffee before you have no members at all.I am sick to death of all of the aggravation. I will never buy anything from any of these ads. Yep, you keep on making money from the companies on that end while you are losing money from the fleeing customers on this end. SHAME, SHAME!!! Over and out. Hello gmail -

You can't find the story for all the ads that are on the page...Also, just as you go to click on "next" an ad pops up where you just clicked and now you looking at an ad that wasn't there 2 seconds ago. I've stop trying to read the story when the first page comes up and see I have to click through 15 pages to read a story.

Several news services use this to refresh the screen and put more ads on for you to see. That's not AOL doing it - it's the service. Boredom Therapy is one of them. Any time I see an article with their name associated with it I just skip.

Give us a one click button to block spam web sights and junk ads. Your spam filters don't work. Do you really have to sell us out for a few cents per ad you get when we sign on.

Infuriating !!! A waste of our very valuable time. You people are being paid for all of this; we're not and we cannot afford to waste all of the time needed to go from page to page while combating ads.

Really getting annoyed with all the adds. Especially when you try to close and the X keeps moving around. Trying to reed articles and a add will appear over the article. Enough is enough.

Just trying to read a story on Brain Charm. IMPOSSIBLE! Too many stupid ads flopping around on the page. I don't know if anyone there knows, or even cares, how distracting this is. Maybe I'll find the story somewhere that doesn't have all those **** things. At least provide a way to shut the things off.

Please STOP with the "next page" articles. Too many ads. Takes forever to load page. Articles not that interesting and who's really looking at the ads anyway!?!

I was TYING to read a feature, and, as usual, one of those big damned ads kept flopping around on the lower left. Can't shut the things off, so I quit reading the material. When will you boneheads give it up? AOL surely isn't friendly to this user! I guess it is all about money (a lakeside estate).
