This morning I had 7 ads covering the Welcome page before I could read the article. Why so many ads all of a sudden? Is it because so many people have left AOL due to the terrible new version and you need more money? SOLUTION: BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION (nearly perfect) OR ADD TO THIS NEW VERSION THE THINGS THAT ARE MISSING FROM THE OLD!! It should be easy to copy the programs and simply move them to this rotten AOL Gold.

You need to give PAYING members a break. I pay and can't even read an article without GARBAGE ADs in my way!!! I finally give up and Stop reading. You continue flooding paying accounts with ads' I will stop your service. It should not have to take me 15 minutes to read a short article. 10 minutes is constant clicking to X out filthy ads popping up. STOP the POP UP ADS or I STOP PAYING YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. Your Choice.

Drop the ad's and all POP UP's that are annoying when trying to read the article.

The feature is "absolutely ludicrous"...to the point that many times I simply just forget about it and move on. Totally unnecessary and quite annoying!!

Those pop up ads are a big pain in my butt. One cannot read a news item or any story without those pop ups interfering with the process.
Why are we paying for this service, if you are doubling up all ads. And secondly, it is only the first ten items that are new. Anything from 11/71 has been sitting in the revolving door for a yer now. You program really is bad and you are greedy and we suffer thru something that should be a run smooth operation.

I agree! The adds cover the screen to the point that I give up and turn off the article. I do not have the patience to keep on clicking. I stop any article that requires the clicking "next" and retur to the welcome screen.

AOL is a terrible ISP. It has no consideration for its users and is only
interested in advertising by nefarious means and selling junk to members.

The ads that are always on the AOL screen (not the popups) take up a full 1/3 of the screen. Even though they appear to be items of interest to me based on searches I have done, I purposely do not look at them or read them....on principal. AOL does not have to rub my nose it ads and I refuse to read them or click on them. I pay money to AOL to provide me with email service, some social media, and the ability to search. I do not pay AOL to get in my face. GOLD has made the Internet experience a lot less user friendly than it was when it was free. More aggravating popup ads, more ads overall, and lots of remaining glitches which have not been addressed.

When I read that Verizon was buying AOL, I was happy because I hoped they would improve it. But,now it's become worse. Google Ads are awful! They clutter up some web site so that you can't even read an article and you can't get rid of them. They are so irritating! And now, in addition, every time I log onto AOL your Terms of Service pop up. I accepted the terms twice but they are still there every time I log on. Why???

When I click on a story - read 1-2 sentences and see NEXT, I just close the screen. I hate all the ads forced on us and the time it takes to read a short article!

I'm paying for the aggravation of having big ads pop up when I am attempting to read articles of interest. Not for long will I be paying if this nonsense isn't stopped. You have ruined peoples' long time satisfaction with AOL with this horrendous AOL GOLD. AOL will not last much longer if you don't listen to your users' desires.

I would like to have the adds to be removed in order to pull up my emails without any lags or slowness in my email

STOP ANNOYING AND DISTRACTING POP UPS WITH MOVING/MOBILE IMAGES SUCH AS PIXAR FEST.

Why all the darn commercials and ads, it is worse then its ever been and we have been clients for 20 years, and it has not only become extremely frustrating but infuriating at the same time, to the point where we are discussing cancelling our service with you........We get less then 1/5th of our screen to try to read a story, all the rest of the page is ads, they take up the rest of the screen, then not to mention all the ones that flash on while you are trying to read something. In all the 20 years we have been top level subscribers paying $30 bucks a month, your service has gotten worse, and, we have never once, not once ever opened a ad or commercial, bother to buy anything that is being advertised, we are not interested in any of them, and when we click them off, we are asked why? WHAT!!! we do not want to see your ads, we will never ever buy anything from any of the ads, never have and never will, what are we paying $30 bucks a month for, we could be using it for free or the minimum subscription and probably not see more ads then you already plaster onto our screens. Why should we be paying all this money each month, just to have to put up with more and more commercials, then we get message telling us we can get rid of the ads if we want to pay $100 appx a year or what ever to keep them off, is that what you guys are doing, putting more ads on the screes to **** us all off so we will pay for keeping them off with another $100 bucks, I thought that was why we were paying for the premium subscription in the first place, another means of black mail, just like when we had not choice but to use the aol gold in the first place, which is your worse upgrade ever, it is so screwed up it is unbelievable, why you would release something so corrupt to your longstanding customers, the Geek Squad could not believe the mess your program is and the problems it has caused our computers, both desktops and laptops, we are needless to say, very unhappy with your aol gold, there is nothing gold about it, it has cause numerous problems with our computers, and when we have to take them in for repair, it all boils down to something connected with aol gold..........I could go threw a whole list of things that are wrong with the gold program, but looking at what others have already posted, pretty much all of them have already been addressed, to which you people have done nothing about to correct, cause we have had all the same problems since you forced us to the aol gold program from the one we were perfectly satisfied with prior...........when are you going to get these issues taken care of, and get rid of all the ads us premium long standing clients are being subjected to, cause I have also had MSN for 20 years, and get none of the **** from your service with all the ads in our face and pop ups constantly, we kept both services in case one ever went down we had the other to fall back on, but we use aol the most, because prior to the gold program, it was easier for us with our people we do business and personal correspondence with. Our policy for over 30 years has been, never buy off ads on TV or internet..........ever. So instead of losing customers, just remover the ads, after all we are paying $30 bucks a month so we would not have to put up with all the ads..........Thank you

Get rid of advertising on right of screen; it is very irritating and gets in the way.

Just trying to read a story and again those big ads come plowing into the lower right corner of the screen. Don't you people EVER give it a rest? All you ever do is merge things, but never do anything about them.
