Welcome Screen Problems
Until a few days ago, when the AOL Welcome screen opens, you could scroll through the articles presented, click on a story you wanted to read. When you were finished reading the story, you clicked to close it and the AOL Welcome screen was still present. Now, when I finish reading a story, click to close it, the AOL Welcome screen disappears, you then have to click on the Welcome box in the upper left hand corned of the screen to pull it back up. This is a pain, as you now have to scroll through all of the articles presented beginning with story 1 after you've already scrolled through maybe 40 articles before deciding to read one. Having to do this is a real waste of time, and like I stated earlier, a real pain. This isn't the only problem with my AOL Gold that haven't been resolved after numerous attempts by tech support. I've been with AOL for a long time, and frankly, I'm beginning to think about dropping it and going to another platform. Believe AOL has gone downhill, especially after their introduction of AOL Gold. Not being a computer guru, I hope I've presented what I consider a problem people understand?

When looking at a story, look at sub-story, go back, back to page one....what gives

FIX THIS GARBAGE PIT THAT IS AOL GOLD, every day a new glitch and problem, now when you click a link to view a story, you can't "back" out of it, have to close it, which in turn closes the entire welcome screen, and you have to start the welcome screen every time.
AOL GOLD, is a classic TRAIN WRECK, and please don't send me the same lame response, "please call our help techs", all they ever do is clear your cache and tell you it's fixed. NOT -

I don't like the new update welcome screen. I like the previous one better that I don't have to keep clicking back the welcome screen again.

It used to be that when you clicked on a news item, it opened in a new window, now it doesn't!!!! It opens the news item in the same window and when you right click and try to return to the original screen, you can't because the "Back" choice doesn't display.
When you Refreshed the screen, it used to display the news screens from the first page, now it just refreshes to the page you shut down. Also, your browser is apparent not in sync with current browsers being used by different, like say, Safeway, Walgreen's, Social Security Administration. There are enough problems out there having to deal with Windows 10 ****** operating system, so it would be nice if you quit mucking with things or gave the user the options of changing to the "Brand New Excellent Idea"!!! especially since I'm paying for AOL Gold. -

Let's say I've just opened up aol and the welcome screen appears. There's usually abut 70 pages of news items on the carousel. let's say
I'm on page 35, see an article I want to read, and click on it and the article opens up. I read it. Usually all I have to do to get back to the welcome screen is to close out the page I just read, and there is my welcome screen still on page 35. NOW when I close the page, both the page and welcome screen are gone. I have tried using the 'back' button without closing the page, but that doesn't work. All I can do is to close the page and then click on the welcome screen icon, and when I do, it does bring up the welcome screen..BUT BACK TO PAGE 1!!! It should take me back to page 35 at least. -
