very sorry you removed the option to block mail from senders not in address book -WHY??
reinstate the option to block mail from senders not in address book - why did you remove it??
Due to recent adjustments to the AOL Mail platform, this feature is no longer available. I apologize for the inconvenience. In order to block a specific sender, go to the Mail menu and select “Block Unwanted Mail” and add the email addresses in the box below “Block Mail from Addresses I Specify”, then click Save Settings at the bottom, or mark the emails in the inbox as Spam.

please reinstate the BLOCK button that you used to have....it was so easy to block unwanted emails that the block list entered by hand doesn't seem to stop them...sick of getting numerous emails about hot asian girls!

Give us back the feature to allow mail from only people we know.

Every day I receive 10 to 50 emails from "contacts@htnpm". fortunately these go to my spam folder, but it still is annoying and I believe illegal.
I have put this address into my 'BLOCK' folder, but I still receive them. Can I 'bounce' these emails back to the sender? And if yes, how can I do this? -

GO TO METHOD FOR PAST 15 YEARS. INBOX IS ONLY FOR MAIL FROM NAMES IN ADDRESS BOOK. ALL OTHER E-MAILS GO INTO SPAM FOLDER. NOW ALL INCOMING MAIL GOES INTO INBOX. THIS IS CRAZY. WILL BE LOOKING AT YAHOO AND GMAIL SOON.

Why isn't there a way to block ALL emails on addresses I don't use anymore? Please let me know ASAP. I am tired to deleting all the mail that comes into two old email addresses I never use.

this morning I have no spam filtering....all email going to in box. when I go to spam settings the ONLY Choice now is to put in all the addresses you want to block ...one by one. this is crazy. what happened to the choice of blocking ALL email NOT in my Address book? that's worked great and now it's no longer an option. This really needs to be restored in a HOT fix...PLS. ASAP!!

I do not like it that you have changed how I send mail to spam. It used to be that I just had to list the e-mail address I would accept and all others went into spam. That was a lot easier than trying to list the hundreds of spam e-mails I get every day. So why can't we go back to saying block all mail except from the following addresses? You are going to lose customers with your new ideas!!!!!!!!!! I hate AOL gold and have to pay for it every month and it is horrible!!!! I hate it when people get into power and want to change everything - like Penny's did a few years ago and they nearly folded and decided they better go back to the old way and got rid of their new CEO with all his bright ideas!!!

My idea, you want me to describe my idea? Leave our **** alone, how about doing that? I am unable to save email addresses in the spam settings for whatever reason you have screwed up now. I'm trying to save 2 email addresses in the blocked area and neither of them will save. When I click save and then exit the page, then reopen it, its empty again. No addresses blocked, nothing saved.

Please create a Box to click on to permanently block e-mail in the same way yahoo customers have

Give me back mail settings that allow me to either block or allow people to e-mail me. My friends are not receiving my mail, and I am not getting theirs either. What Right does AOL have to keep my list of friends?

THIS MORNING HAD MORE JUNK, JUNK, JUNK IN MY INBOX THAN IN MY SPAM FOLDER. SEEMS SIMPLE, INBOX IS FOR MAIL FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY SHOWN IN ADDRESS BOOK AND ALL OTHER ITEMS SHOULD GO INTO SPAM. WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT IN 2018 WHEN FOR 20 YEARS YOU DID THIS EASILY???????????????? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE FIX THIS SIMPLE STUPID THING. SHAME ON AOL. JUST PROVES MAY BE TIME TO GO TO G-MAIL.

WHY DOES AOL ALLOW SO MUCH JUNK, JUNK MAIL INTO MY INBOX. ALL I WANT IS MAIL FROM THOSE IN MY ADDRESS BOOK. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO PUT JUNK IN SPAM AND DATA FROM MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN MY INBOX???????????? WAS OK FOR 20 YEARS UNTIL PAST COUPLE MONTHS AND AOL TOOK THIS VERY IMPORTANT FEATURE AWAY FROM US TO PUT ****, **** AND **** IN THE INBOX. PUT IT LIKE IT WAS FOR 20 YEARS PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.

Please bring back the method of allowing users to name those from whom they would like to receive mail. And not the opposite of listing 200 spam addresses. Thank you.

Email addresses added to "Block mail from addresses I specify" does not add to the Spam email folder even though it says "SAVE" You really need to fix this.

Now have 39 e-mails in both Inbox and Spam. NONE ARE FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS. ALL, ALL, ALL SHOULD BE IN SPAM, BUT 16 ARE IN INBOX AND 23 IN SPAM FOLDER. SHOULD BE 39 IN SPAM AND NONE, NONE IN INBOX. STUPID AOL NOW HAS NO WAY OF SEPARATING SPAM AND "GOOD" E-MAILS. FOR 20 YEARS IT WAS NO PROBLEM, BUT NOW THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET IT THE WAY IT WAS FOR 20 YEARS. THIS IS TIME TO BEGIN LOOKING AT GMAIL AND YAHOO.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. REMOVING THIS VERY SIMPLE TOOL (ACCEPT ONLY MAIL FROM THOSE IN ADDRESS BOOK) IS STUPID, NO OTHER WORD WOULD DESCRIBE IT. NOW RECEIVE JUNK AND WANTED MAIL INTERSPERSED BETWEEN THE JUNK AND SPAM FOLDER. ONE NEVER KNOWS WHERE THE GOOD MAIL IS CAUSE IT IS MIXED IN WITH JUNK IN BOTH FOLDERS. WHY WOULD YOU STILL HAVE AN INBOX FOLDER--THE WAY IT WORKS NOW EVERYTHING IS SPAM --YOU HAVE NO RHYME OR REASON HOW TO SPLIT SO WE RECEIVE ALL, ALL, MAIL (THAT FROM FAMILY AND THE **** WE DON'T WANT) SPLIT BETWEEN INBOX AND SPAM. WHY NOT PUT IT ALL IN SPAM AND LET THE POOR CUSTOMER LOOK IT ALL OVER TO PICK OUT THE ONES HE WANTS. HOW AOL STAYS IN BUSINESS IS MORE THAN I UNDERSTAND. AND THEY COULD CARE LESS WHAT THE USERS SAY. SO LETS ALL GO TO G-MAIL AND LET AOL GO OUT OF BUSINESS.

absolutely stupid to remove simple way to filter unwanted mail, which was very effective for 20 years. Why would you change a success into a TOTAL FAILURE. NOW WE GET ADS AND GOOD MAIL FROM FAMILY ALL INTERMIXED IN BOTH INBOX AND SPAM. AOL HAS PROVED THEY NO LONGER CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER. I WILL BE CHECKING WITH G-MAIL IMMEDIATELY. I NEED A COMPANY THAT HAS BRAINS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
