Cannot Copy URL to EMAIL and Link Be Active When Clicked On By Receiver Of Email
Copy URL -- Place on Email to send -- the URL link does not show blue - you send email-- person getting it - still does not show blue link - just black -- clicks on URL to go to site-- NOTHING HAPPENS
You cannot copy and paste a URL onto an email and it be an active link when clicked on. If you copy and place on site as a blog it works fine. You have a problem when link copied and transferred to email-- NEEDS TO BE FIXED as this has been happening -- report it and it works a while and the quits working. FIX THIS AS WE USE THIS FEATURE A LOT!!!! TIRED OF SAME OLD PROBLEMS OVER AND OVER!!!!
To insert a hyperlink in your email, first open a Write mail window, then click on the “Insert/edit link” button below the subject line (next to the Picture button).

how about making inserted text links into hyper clickable links in out going email.
i had a email user say when he receives aol email the links are only in text , he has to go through hoops to be able to read them.
AOL needs to make outgoing text links into clickable hyper links so any user can just click the link and it opens up the web browser and auto paste the link and go to the site.

Adding a hyperlink needs to be done manually. Before it was changed, i can copy and paste a link that is already clickable

Been with AOL about 20 years. Using AOL email I have always been able to run cursor over link [ it turns blue ] that I wanted to copy, and then use Control + C to copy link and then Control + V to post the link to email so EMAIL receiver could click on link and go to site. Link copied has always been active link all this time and until about 2 weeks ago!! Also when link copied it showed on email in blue print [ active link ] . Starting about 2 weeks ago when I did this the link was not made active and when I posted it on AOL email it showed in black print - not blue and it was not an active link as people getting it and they could not click on it and go to the site as has always been the case forever.. However, if I was copying the link and posting to other place - not AOL email - it was active and worked fine as it should!! You can post to a blog or other places and it worked just fine - as always. JUST NOT IN AOL EMAILS!!!.
Problem definitely in AOL email -- some one changed or messed up the email programming that has created this goof. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED - NOW!!
I posted this yest and got a stupid reply back to use the insert/edit link shown on Write Email -- to get it posted as active link to email. THIS IS STUPID AND CAUSES EXTRA UNNECESSARY EFFORT -- Have always used just Control + C for years. Talked with AOL TECH yesterday afternoon and he knows exactly what I am reporting is true as we went through using Control +C and trying to get link active for email - no luck, then using Control + C posted to other sites [ worked fine ] and you could then click on that link and go to site it represented He showed me the typed report he made for your tech or programmers stating the problem that he verified. It is your EMAIL ERROR!!!. NOW -- YOU NEED TO DO YOUR JOB AND FIX THIS SO YOUR USERS CAN DO EMAILS USING CONTROL + C CREATING AN ACTIVE LINK THAT CAN GO INTO OUR EMAILS AS HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE CASE..
DO NOT SEND ME SOME STUPID WAY AROUND WHAT HAS BEEN THE NORMAL AND STANDARD WAY AS YOU DID YESTERDAY SAYING on write you can click on insert/edit and post link you want to send and it will be active. FOR YEARS THE SIMPLE WAY TO INSERT AN ACTIVE LINK ACTIVE LINK ON EVERY SERVICE FOR YEARS IS SIMPLE TO USE CONTROL+C AND THE CONTROL+V, AND IT NEEDS TO BE THAT WAY ON AOL AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN!!!!. i WILL SAY THANK YOU BUT YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO YOUR USERS AND FIX THIS PROBLEM -- LIKE RIGHT AWAY!!
