AOL gold freezes every day
Everyday AOL GOLD freezes up and I have to use Google. Why am I paying you to use your desktop if it does not work!! YOU SHOULD BE PAYING ME TO USE AOL GOLD!!! Don't force people to use this ****! FIX IT ALREADY!! I AM PAYING YOU 3.99 a MONTH SO IS EVERYONE ELSE!!!

Your engineers are doing nothing but making the program WORSE AND WORSE with each update! You guys had better get your sh*t together. For every angry comment, there are a 100 angry customers who aren't on this site posting. WE ARE PAYING FOR THIS -- restore its functionality or your "engineers" are going to out of work, along with everyone else at AOL, when your final customers cancel you en masse. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

AOL Gold is going downhill very fast. For a service I am paying for, it is deplorable that AOL keeps downloading Gigabytes of **** advertising to my computer every few days. Then AOL slows everything down to a standstill. Mail FREEZES most of the time.
What a RIP OFF from what AOL used to be when it was FREE. AOL is digging a deep hole that one day will be the grave site of AOL. RIP -

So, Now we have to try and work-around their incompetencies and continue to PAY $3.99 for a program that freezes, locks up, screws with loading and many times does not work at all. And, their default fix is always "Just RELOAD AOL Gold". Uh Huh. But, that's not the problem boys! The problem is on-going and the AOL Gold Techs and engineers don't seem to care or have the first clue. If my company had employees like that, they would be escorted out of the building by security, starting with the VP of Operations and VP of Marketing, on down, forthwith.

For last two months or so Mail has been extremely slow. When loading old mail it is especially slow. When entering search terms for locating mail it takes 5 seconds between each letter in the search term. I have purged caches and done what has been recommended to no avail. I pay for this service and it's becoming not worth it.

re: desktop gold - several issues....one being that when I search for an email that I've previously sent, and need to forward it to another recipient, suddenly the subject is now appearing with circumflexes ^ and underscores _ , before and after each search word. I've addressed this more than once & have 3 case numbers, but despite your phone support that shared my screen has seen this issue, as well as others, none of the issues have been completely resolved.
One tech said I have more than 100 folders-which is the limit, so I had to get rid of many ...which, by the way, did not rectify the problem. The next tech said there wasn't a 100 file limit, but that I had too many emails, & then she remotely placed them in folders that she created. Then after 4 hours, when I said "let's test it now to see if my aol emails are working".. she suddenly disappeared! The 3rd tech removed my mcafee from my desktop gold which he claims is "probably" interfering & causing issues (which I'm not happy about!!!) It's been over a week that my emails are intermittently not opening, the screen turns either foggy or black, and the aol desktop gold reads: "not responding", the hour glass gets large and the screen freezes. I've asked for a senior advisor each time, but they insist that it is not necessary because they can resolve the issue at their level.Furthermore...but I've also mentioned that the font selection was drastically reduced and very limited since "desktop gold" was installed and if there were any plans to add more fonts, but they said to write to this "help'" section, which I had done twice since I got desktop gold....but never received a response.
Hopefully....SOMEBODY will contact me. Thank you.

How this is not the #1 issue is beyond me. I cannot get to mail waiting to be sent, old or sent email on the desktop. This has been going on for weeks.

Now I can't even get my NEW emails! I haven't been able to get my OLD emails or SENT emails, but now my NEW EMAIL folder won't open! This is a disaster! I can't do my work. Please.... fix these serious problems.

Yo, AOL techs and engineers! You could at least mostly solve all the current bugs and glitches in AOL revision 11.0.2244 by restoring AOL 9.8 which worked pretty good and was mostly stable and Call it AOL Gold 12.0 and get it out there until you come up with a real fix for AOL Gold 11.0.2844 and 11.0.2811 or whatever, I can't keep up with your weekly revisions, and I shouldn't have to. It's all getting pretty stupid, don't ya think? I shall cancel my paid account Friday.

AOL, why don't you just fix the problems? instead of asking your paying customers to reinstall and go through all those steps which may mess up the program anyway? I really have no more use for AOL Gold or other AOL program. Shame you guys are sooo inept with your programming and problem solving ability, which is what you're being paid to do. Can you say "Competency"? And another 18 year customer bites the dust.

Mail Old and Sent mailboxs slow to load and search.
I reloaded the software and the problem went away until I logged off and the software updated and the problem then returned. I am currently running Revision 11.0.2847 -

WHY do we pay for a service that only gets progressively worse? My mailbox won't even open! I click because it shows I have mail. All I can see is from 'Saved On AOL' and down. WHERE IS THE MAIL? I SORTA NEED TO BE ABLE TO READ MY EMAIL!!! Anyone else experiencing this? ANYONE ELSE WANT TO JOIN MY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT?
