"Open in External Application?" message
When using AOL Desktop Gold, I have regularly been receiving a message asking me if I want to “Open Application in External Window?” If I click on the “details” button in that message window, I see: ttp://csync.loopme.me?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fmatch.bnmla.com%2Fusersync%3Fdspid%3D181%26uuid%3D%5BUUID%5D
I participated in a chat with AOL tech support (case number 01080092), allowed tech support to remotely control my computer, and we went through these steps: re-installed the ADG software, and cleared the cache and cookies. The problem remains unresolved. Please advise.

Same problem I've been seeing for at least a couple of weeks. After reading the 15 prior comments posted, I decided to click on "Cancel" as a test. I clicked on “cancel” 3 times … the 3rd attempt caused this message to disappear and I was able to log on to the website I wanted! I haven't yet tried this again ... but there must be a better fix.

This nonsense is maddening, and absolutely irresponsible of AOL to perpetrate such a foolish note. I have remained with AOL for over 20 years, and have just about given up. I suspect many of you agree.

Fix error in AOL Gold "Open in an External Application" Obviously the problem is widespread. Hard to believe we pay for this service with a sub level of satisfaction

I have had this problem since early November. I have tried to get help from AOL support several times. On November 30, 2021, I was told that AOL knew about the issue and is working on resolving it. The technician told me that it will be solved in 48 hours. I still have the same problem when browsing with AOL Desktop Gold. When will AOL be able to fix this problem? My patience is running out.

I did a basic Google search on http://csync.loop.me and it is listed by one antivirus software as a malicious site. It is unknown if AOL is hacked? Regardless, AOL should be communicating with members concerning these pop-up messages.

I've been getting the same thing ...Have no idea why or what it means but it's really irritating. I re-installed ADG also and another strange thing in settings: mail advanced......I have checked save sent mail but it doesn't. if it's not one thing its another..........
