Why do you keep messing with our email box "interface"? GET RID OF THAT YELLOW HIGHLIGHT PLEASE or give us an option to get out of it ourselves. This was unnecessary and I cannot imagine WHO thought this one up.

I have complained about this numerous times. And your way of "updating" Desktop Gold is to add an orange highlight? Why not work on something that actually needs fixing?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is not happy with this latest update feature. While it might seem well-intentioned for the visually impaired, it is very distracting and awkward when maneuvering through 200 emails. It's giving a headache. If AOL can't make it go away, at least provide an option to turn it off or on as needed.

Ditto. We are PAYING customers when we don't need to be (Gmail anyone?).Please get rid of the stupid yellow highlight and growing font on the email inbox. It's highly distracting when you're trying to navigate through 100 emails. And stop with the updates just for the sake of updating. If it ain't broke, don't "fix" it.

Please eliminate the terrible gold highlighting in the email Inbox that I first saw on March 29th. It's VERY distracting and not helpful. I assume AOL made the change to accommodate the vision of we older folks. However, it's very intrusive, disruptive and jarring. Instead, why don't you give us the option to make the Inbox screen larger or smaller based on our needs, like we can do on other websites? I used to help build senior-friendly websites professionally, and the AOL GOLD inbox interface could use a real re-working to make it easier to use for older people, who make up most of AOL's email users. Please conduct focus groups with older people before making these sweeping changes, or at least give people the chance to return to the previous set up whenever you make big change like this. The same goes for the addition of the "trash," "mark as unread" and "spam" icons that now appear at the end of the subject lines in the Inbox. They take up precious space -- space that could be left open to read the full email subject line. Right not, things really feel tight on the Inbox screen. Things already appeared scrunched due to the ads on the right side of the screen. We need a broader, more expansive view. The highlighting does NOT address that issue. It only makes things feel more confining and uncomfortable. Please enlist some people with expertise in senior friendly design. It could really improve things. But, as a first step, PLEASE remove the gold highlighting!

I agree about this highlight on emails when you hover on one with the cursor. I just got off of AOL tech support and they informed me this was an "update" that cannot be removed. Please do.
Thank you

The new orange mail high light....it magnifies the text to the point it can not be read. I also hat the delete /read/ spam tool bar. Both of these should be an option to turn on and off.

I agree with all of the prior comments on this change presumably referenced by "HOT Fixed! - changed visual on hovered over Email in list" in the change log. Not sure why this was labeled a "fix". The change in highlight color and font size is very distracting, especially when moving the cursor in and out of the message window. Please revert to the prior visual.

Opening mail
When opening mail that window is now larger and causing extra borders at the right side and bottom of screen. When finished reading all mail and closing mail box the borders stay and the only way to get rid of them is close the Welcome screen and reopen it and those extra borders go away. Put the mail window back the way it was and no borders will appear. -

GET RID OF THAT UGLY AND INTERFERING YELLOW HIGHLIGHT THAT YOU ADDED. IT SUCKS. THE YELLOW HIGHLIGHT AND ENLARGING OF THE HOVERED OVER EMAIL LINE MAKES IT WAY MORE DIFFICULT TO DO WHAT I NEED TO DO.

I agree. stop making worthless "improvements"

I totally agree. There should be only one blue highlight for the email line you are on. We don't need two and we definitely do not need what appears to be a new orange/yellow highlight. Terribly annoying and the magnification is not needed either. Too much useless stuff. Thank you.

I was not made aware of the color highlight change, I do not like orange, can we change it to another color please. Is it possible to have individual option to change the highlighter to a preferred color, like red or blue. htk1915@aol.com thanks.

AOL desktop gold update feature is not pleasant to have and not necessary and opt in and opt out for this function is not available. The way that it magnify the words and the emails are not that good. Looking forward for sudden changed ASAP.

I find the new mailbox message highlighting scheme when I hover and scan up or down over the list of messages to be very annoying and disorienting. Particularly when I rapidly scroll the cursor down over the the list of messages. Please remove these features or add functionality to make changes or make it a user option.
