End aol software manually
A way to end the aol software manually is to use the windows task manager by either pressing ctrl, shift and esc or going to the start button and typing taskmgr.
When the task manager appears, on the applications tab, you can end the aol software by clicking on end task or go to the processes tab, click on the aoldesktop.exe, right click, and left click on end process, and click on yes to confirm.
Two reasons for doing this.
1) If the software just isn't playing nice with you and freezes
or
2) If the software takes over 3 gigs of ram. For some strange reason, my computer, that has an amd cpu, if the software goes to 3,000,000k, under memory, the software freezes. My laptop, that has an intel cpu, doesn't have this problem.
