How to delete mail as in the past

When I delete multiple Spam messages, they arrive at my delete folder immediately. Then I try to delete all of the email in my delete folder it deletes some of it and gives me error messages. As a result it takes several attempts to delete all of the mail from the delete folder. very frustrating. Never quite sure of all of the email I want to get deleted actually gets deleted immediately.

I have three aol email addresses. When I try to "delete all" spam from two of them, I get the EC4007 message and they won't delete unless I highlight all of them with Shift and the down arrow. What is the problem here?

I called and they had no idea why this is happening. This message pops up after trying to delete mail. requested message or attachment does not exist. Code EC-4007

I sincerely believe you will not fix it. Since I first joined AOL in 1993, I have never had the problems I now have and I PAY for this torture.

Pay attention to complaints. Seems like AOL is going backwards vice forward with technology. New company in charge??
