Inbox/New Mail folders are occasionally empty. At other times, even when emails appear, they cannot be opened. This has been going on for too long. How come you can't fix it?

Every day I delete the spam mail from my computer. Usually it's 20 or so emails. But they do not stay deleted!
Today when I went to the "recently deleted" file I was obliged to "permanently delete" 276 (!) two hundred and seventy six (!) emails. What am I doing wrong, or not doing.
Please respoond. -

I always disable all Sounds on PC AOL Desktop Gold. Windows 10 pro. Suddenly the Sounds of AOL functions are heard since 2-3 days ago. (today is 10/22/26) I disabled the Sounds in the Settings. Now only the "Goodbye" is still heard. Very annoying. Was there a glitch this week? I tried an AOL Chat help and they referred me here. What can be done to stop this one sound? Thank you. And what is this AOL sign-in Agreement that I need to agree to in order to ask this question? And I'm already signed-in. I don't want my info displayed. Thank you.

the inbox email counter will show 15 attached to the app only to find out there is only 1 that take a 2 second delay to show up after opening the inbox.Turns out the counter is including emails in the trash, only way to get rid of it is to empty the trash. this app has worked flawless for many years on the iPhone 15 running latest iOS until recent (overhaul)

Get YOU'VE GOT MAIL back working like it always was. It been 2 year since it has stop work properly. I just can't understand how hard it can be to get something that simple to not be able to FIX it.

Every time there is an update to my Windows 11 there is something that slows down AOL. Your IT needs to continuously monitor to update AOL...that's the problem

The AOL Gold app has gotten so slow over the past several years and hogs up so much memory with all it's stupid CefSharp.BrowserSubproccesses to the point of being nearly unusable. And I only say "nearly" because it technically still works, though frequently freezes, sometimes for more than a minute, especially on websites. Typing is a pain ********** because of it. I'll be in the middle of typing something and it stops responding for half a minute before I can type again.
This is unacceptable. Why am I still paying for this piece of trash? FIX YOUR ****! You've had at least six years to do so, why is it getting worse instead of better?!

add a pause button on the windows so when I open an article read it then close it I go back to the original window. Now the windows continue to advance instead of returning me to the original window

put back the pause option when scrolling thru the windows. when I open an article read it then close it the windows have continued to advance instead of putting me back to where I left it. this seems to be a new problem as it didn't occur a month or so ago

put back the pause button when reading an article on the home page, instead the word "of" should be"||". Like ( 1 of 10) should be (1 || 10).

Another upgrade and another problem with AOL. Why is it lagging and slow? I don't have this problem with other browsers or applications. It actually took me 10 minutes to get to this page and type this out. It takes me forever to get through my email!!! You raise the price and we get a terrible application. Don't release upgrades if it's not ready. I may have to leave AOL. Also, you got rid of the ads under one user name but not the other!! Seriously? Fix it!!! Reported 8/13/26

I just checked my task manager and there are 63 ChefSharp.BrowserSubprocess background processes running on my new Windows 11 desktop computer running AOL Gold. That seems a bit much. All I have been doing is checking email, nothing else. Make it stop!

I've been struggling with it for the last few days too. I saw another post where an AOL rep responded saying there's one cefsharp process for every window opened in AOL Gold. ********. I have AOL Gold running with NO windows open and it's got 7 cefsharps by default! I open my email window and it jumps to over 30! Before even opening a single email! This is ridiculous and the past few days it's so bad that my computer freezes up and it's built for heavy graphics gaming! I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and it's still horrible. I can't even check my email without it seizing up my computer's entire resources. I've been using AOL since the early 90s and I can't believe I'm actually considering letting it go after all this time.
