End aol software manually
A way to end the aol software manually is to use the windows task manager by either pressing ctrl, shift and esc or going to the start button and typing taskmgr.
When the task manager appears, on the applications tab, you can end the aol software by clicking on end task or go to the processes tab, click on the aoldesktop.exe, right click, and left click on end process, and click on yes to confirm.
Two reasons for doing this.
1) If the software just isn't playing nice with you and freezes

Use me Own Browser and NOT yours😮
I would like to have the AOL desktop software
Have an option to where I can use my own freaking browserrather it be Firefox Rather Be The Edge or the Chrome I want to have it open up the the browser that I choose when I click on the link that's in my email
Or click on something and brought evolving the internet I want to have it to where I can choose where I want to go what browser I want to use and not use the AOL browser if I choose not to do so

Aol needs to put
We need chats back & be able to put backgrounds in email again

Please allow personalization to save.
When I change a setting to personalize my desktop experience, it never saves when I close out of the desktop. I change the search box to not come up when I start up the program and it never sticks. Other choices revert back to default. Please fix this so I can enjoy my experience with this program.

Why do you list email history in details? It is not helpful and intrusive. Can I delete this feature? Why not ask us before you introduce something like this?

Download Manager Should Play "File's Done."
When a file download finishes, could we please have the old "File's Done" sound? I see the WAV file is still in even the newest builds of AOL, so it wouldn't be difficult to add an optional trigger to play that file when a download finishes. I'd really like that. Thanks.

The NEW MAIL ALERT Icon is preventing me from copy pasting address. As long as this feture is present I will no longer have any use with AOL
I just called the HELP number and was told they could not help and I had to do this. THis is not helpful and I will have no choice but after over 20 years with AOL but to leave the service. I want the NEW Mail Alert icon to be removed from my mail. As long as it is present I cannot simply copy paste an address.

New version of AOL is a step backwards
It is SO much more difficult to scroll on AOL since your last "upgrade". It was perfect before and now it is unnecessarily harder. How can I go back to the previous version?

Seeing sender's complete address at hover
Bring back the ability to see the sender's full address when you hover over it!! Why in the world would you think about removing this SECURITY feature? If it's not clear who the sender is, we now have only two options - open it and potentially find a problematic email or delete it and find out later that it was something necessary.

Fix AOL Gold for paying customers.
When sending email's or attachments I get Bad request then another screen with a 1400 code.This is on AOL Gold.Iv e called numerous times with no help.Ongoing for a few weeks.I even called AOL corp escalations in NYC with no response..I will have no choice but report this to the NY Public service commission since Iam paying for this service.I cant even send a Bug report it wont go thru.

Brent, your EX. Tech. employee is calling AOL customers and trying to get personal Info. and his wife/girlfriend is in on it also.

BRIEF AND TO THE POINT
I AM SICK AND TIRED OF aol TAKING A VERY INTERESTING NEWS ARTICLE WHICH COULD BE COVERED IN A COUPLE PARAGRAPHS AND CONVERTING IT INTO A SHORT NOVEL WHICH REPEATS ITSELF AGAIN AND AGAIN. STICK TO THE BASIC INFORMATION AND STOP THE REPETITION OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
