Discontinuing " My Portfolio "
Bad move - I transferred my portfolio to Yahoo as suggested and what I got was an advertisement for "Ameritrade" - I can't delete a security without signing up for an Ameritrade broker which makes the portfolio useless. I need a nimble portfolio software so I can add and delete securities - this portfolio is about as user friendly as Einsteins theory of relativity.
Thank you for your feedback. In case you are prompted by a pop-up mentioning setting-up a brokerage account when opening your portfolio page, you can close it by clicking on ‘Maybe Later’ or the X button on the upper right side of the pop-up.

In order to turn off the randomize color for the Toolbar, follow these steps:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold and sign on.
2. Go to the Keyword(CTRL+K): Toolbar
3. Click on the drop-down menu below ‘Randomize Color’ and select ‘Never’.
After following these steps you can close the window, and the changes will be saved automatically. You can also choose your preferred Toolbar color from the same menu. -

and allow me to get the welcome page. It also happens when I switch from one user name to another one.Please try clearing the Browser Footprints:
1. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu.
2. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings.No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.

Can't write nickname in news article comments
There isn't enough time for me to add my nickname before I type my comment at the end of an AOL news article.. Every comment has a nick name as a header so what's wrong with my comment section? My AOL friends do not have this problem. Nickname header stays visible for only a few seconds and then disappears. Please fix it. Thanks.
You can update your AOL nickname in the Personal info section of your account settings and information page.
1. Sign in to your account settings and information page here: https://login.aol.com/account/personalinfo
2. Click on the ‘Edit’ button on the top right.
3. Type your desired nickname in the ‘Nickname’ field on the lower left.
4. Click ‘Done’ on the upper right. -
iggy yourself
Why in Chat am I unable to iggy? No matter who I click a note pops up that I am unable to iggy myself.
To ignore a user in the Chatroom, click on his username from the “People Here” list on the top right, then click on the “Ignore User” button.
Please note, that if you have your own username selected from the member list, you will receive the following error when clicking on the Ignore button: Sorry, You cannot ignore yourself.

How to delete Data Mask now there is no master name
How to opt out of data mask since there is no master name to control my paid subscription. I will be deleting my paid subscription as there is no longer any manual portfolios as of Jan 1. Yahoo portfolios have never worked so I am looking for some other service

In "Mail", "Spam Settings" IT WILL NOT "SAVE" SPAM ADDRESSES PLEASE FIX THIS
In "Mail", "Spam Settings" the sender Spam email addresses I add are NOT saved, even though it says "Changes have been saved" How do you fix this?, as it is important Spam control feature. I asked about correcting this previously with no response. Please respond.
The list of blocked senders is limited to 1000 email addresses. Please verify that you have not reached this limit.

There are times that the welcome page shows as a blank page
There are times that the welcome page shows as a blank page. I have to sign out or switch usernames before it would actually come up. Clicking on the home button pulls up the page but it is better if it comes up automatically. All other screen names work except for the master account.
Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into this issue. To do that, please follow these steps:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send. -
portfolio - I clicked the box to transfer my portfolio to Yahoo -- but when I got to Yahoo it said I did not have a portfolio. So what now
I don't understand the process of transferring my AOL portfolio to Yahoo. I clicked the button but now Yahoo says I don't have a portfolio.

I would like to reach my address book from the Tool Bar,
I want to lookup a person's phone number in my address book. Now, I have to go to Write Mail and then click on Address Book. What used to be a one step process now takes two steps.
1. Go to Edit on the top right, and select General Settings from the drop-down menu.
2. Click on Toolbar on the top of the Settings window.
3. Select “Add Favorites to your toolbar”
4. Type Contacts in the search box.
5. From the list of shortcuts below, right-click on Contacts and select “Add to Toolbar”. -

SEARCH Emails in you folders DOES NOT WORK. I am not talking about the search window. It is the Search in your emails
Looking for an old email the search window in the Email window does NOT work. You can type in the correct email address and you know there are lots of emails from the person...but NOTHING comes up NOTHING. Pls fix it
Click on Read, select the Search Mail tab from the top of the mailbox, choose “Entire Email (Online)” from the Search drop-down, then search for the email you want.

Everytime I sign on the privacy oath comes up and I accept it but it still keeps coming up. I would think once should be enough
Please try to clear the Browser Footprints and then choose Agree again when signing in.
Here’s how:

Where's edit for photo's inserted in email?
at least be able to rotate photo in email. Used to be able to edit photo
After inserting the image in the email compose window, click on it and the picture editor toolbar should appear. The first two option are to rotate the picture, the last one is the Edit option.

Chat rooms Problems
Have AOL Tech support do there job and support it's been over 5 days and no response, my screen name is stuck in two chat rooms and will not clear. All I am told is we can't fix it or wait for a new update, they can not tell me when that would even happen. This should be a easy fix on there end and I get the round around when I try to ask for help!
