I just downloaded what I thought was the new AOL Desktop Gold, but I was in for a surprise. The Version No. is 11.2510, and it has the look of the AOL that I started with way back in the 1980's. Your latest update calls for a much higher version no., so I was wondering why the number I received is different.

Beta 2881 - Something to look at,
Second day using 2881. Yesterday and again today, upon starting - AOL could NOT open any emails. Neither locally saved, or those from AOL.
I've NEVER had this happen before, and can only think something in this beta release is the cause..
I could NOT kill the AOL task from the task manger, another error msg I'd never seen before..
Upon restarting AOL, both yesterday and again today, it started and quickly brought in all emails.
I tried to send it as a BUG report yesterday, but upon restarting, noted that nothing had been sent. -
in the past we could sent text messages from aol to cell phones,can we so that again?
when can we send text messages to chat with someones cell phone, we could in the past.

Add the ability to consolidate mail folders as subfolders under separate top folders. Allows for better organization! Like Outlook!
I have been a member of AOL since 1998/1999. I am unable to consolidate my folders into groups of similar folders. For example, if I have a family folder, I should be able to break down that folder into kids, sisters, brothers, etc. It will shorten the list and easier to find a mailbox and provides a better organization of the email.

This Aol version is full of censorship. i just tried to make a public room and it said it was inappropiate. nothing about dads chatting is wrong this site has gottan riduclous .. i plan on canceling im not paying for this ****.

When contacting AOL techs by phone on problems, they tell us to use the “Bug” link to do so. This can be hopefully helpful since so many of the AOL phone contacts are unproductive and inconsistent from one tech to another. On average, most of the phone-in tech calls’ answers to tech issues are to reinstall AOL Gold, where that often is not the solution. Their tech resolving expertise is usually very shallow. They spend more time trying to sell me a protection package than trying to find an experience supervisor to answer difficult…

Weird Keystroke action..
When doing a SEARCH of emails -- When one letter is typed, the cursor jumps out of the search box, back to email list
.
So a search of, say, a 8 letter word, I have to reposition the cursor back to the search box to type the next letter, and AGAIN, cursor jumps out of the box -
unable to post on articles conversations, the thought police are going to far when opposing views are expressed .who is policing the comment
I am currently unable to post comment on articles unless I have a liberal point of view, who is policing the comment police? I would like to hear from aol on my particular situation but calling and talking to aol they cannot help me at all or wont...

Why does the "LOG INTO AOL" keep popping up?
Not only annoying, but it can easily be ignored, which tells me that this is NOT for security reasons. More likely buggy code..

Two factor verificaiton
Two factor verification is becoming a real pain!!! I have to do it several times per week every time Windows or AOL updates. It is wasting my time!!! Nice to prevent hacking, but not at the expense of using the software.

Put a counter on the old mail folder
The Old Mail folder needs a counter. Without opening the Old Mail folder, you don't know if there is mail lurking in there or not. A counter would save a couple of mouse clicks several times a day. Older people sometimes can't locate a message they've read, and then they find it in the Old Mail folder!

Downloaded attachments are saved in downloads instead of giving an option to save as a document
When trying to save an attachment in my email, it only gives me an option to download instead of allowing me to save it in documents. It then forces me to save the document again in documents.
