**** whats wrong with email now??? first graphics and pictures don't show and now email isn't even opening!!! Think it's time to look around for new options to do emails!!!! I guess after 20 yrs of being with AOL its a shame that you dont take care of your members better than you do!!! Really hate this GOLD program!!

Stop screwing around with emails.
Now I can't just click delete, i have to click yes or no. So stupid. If I click delete, I mean delete! I don't want to have to repeat by answering the stupid question "Do you really want to delete this message?" Of course I want to delete it. If I didn't mean to delete it, I can recover it from my "recently deleted" folder.
Also, why does it say that I have new mail and there is nothing in the folder??? This happens a **** of a lot. Yesterday I had 5 emails supposedly in my NEW folder. There…In order to disable the prompt, please follow these steps:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Mail’ menu on the top left.
3. Select ‘Mail Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Uncheck ‘Confirm before deleting items’, and close the window (changes are saved automatically).Regarding the wrong mail count please call the AOL desktop Gold team at 1-888-265-3733 in order to have one of our technical support agents look into the issue.

Assist by AOL tech support charged my credit card for another year without sending an email to alert me that the renewal date was coming. I
No alert email to renew ASSIST by AOL. Charged 179.99 again, then saw my Visa bill, called AOL cancelled Assist, and no refund of money.

My AOL Desktop Gold has gone crazy...attaches my "Vietnam Veteran" letter to everything, my emails sent, my address book names...everything.

AOL Gold stinks... absolutely
I've had an AOL subscription for more than 20 years and have saved my read email chain going back to the earliest days of my subscription. I've moved, relatively painlessly, through various versions of AOL desktop from its beginnings. But AOL Desktop GOLD is clearly more about distributing ADS than it is about the needs or wants of AOL subscribers. how safe are our accounts??? found some unknown recovery accounts and phone numbers listed on my account??? how and why? Couldn't log on.
tried to log on. could not. ask about an unknown recovery account: "mikewilly@yahoo.com" and unknown text, mobile, phone number???? never heard of them. finally got to my settings and edited out the unknown numbers and name. what is going on? told to contact a security link. the link stated "not a safe connection" ???? what are you guys doing? How safe are our accounts !!!!!!

"Block mail containing specific words and phrases" doesn't seem to be an option
In several other posts re "Spam," you suggest:
"We recommend setting up a content filter in order to block mail containing specific words and phrases. To do this in AOL Desktop Gold, please follow these steps:
- Click “Mail” at the top left.
- Select “Block Unwanted Mail” from the drop-down menu.
- Check the “Block mail containing specific words and phrases” option.
- Add postmaster-relay the in the box below.
- Click Save at the bottom."
The problem is--"Block mail containing specific words and phrases" doesn't appear to be an option anymore! Where did it go?

Favorite Icons on Menu Bar.
On the menu bar at the top of your home page, there is a place to put an icon of frequently used sites within a small box. You can select what order your want the icons to display. Move left, move right, first, last etc The icons will not remain in the order you set up. When you re-open AOL, those are rearranged. Frustrating.

have to say aol sucks. it takes forever to get into a room. sometimes i cant type when in im a room. i cant see who is in a room
aol gold is horrible. i should not have to pay for this. i cant click on a room to see who is in it. if im lucky to get to a private room i cant type in it. it sucks. just a waste of money

Can't get rid of spam number
Not only am I still getting a lot of spam, which I keep deleting, but it STILL says I have 5 items DESPITE the FACT that I have already deleted them. What is wrong with AOL? I don't need this aggravation...I'm going to have to go if you can't return 'Gold" to some semblance of 9.2, which I never had problems with!
