  1. Gold goes un-repsonsive.. has happened 3 times in a row now. Please fix

    I have been in a chat room and go back to the Chat Room Listing and Gold goes un-repsonsive.. has happened 3 times in a row now.
    Please fix this version on AOL or go back to the old version that worked.

    1. Click the Help button in the top-right corner of the AOL Desktop window
    2. Select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu

    Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear that you are having troubles with the AOL Desktop Gold, and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Our engineers are looking into this as we speak.

    If your browser crashes, please try the following steps to enhance your experience:

    a. Edit > Select Footprints to Clear
    b. Check the ‘Browser Cache’ box
    c. Restart ADG
    If the user had not previously checked the ‘Browser Cache’ clear footprint option, it can be restored using these additional steps
    d. Edit > Select Footprints to Clear
    e. Uncheck the ‘Browser Cache’ box

  3. When are all these corrections going to be made?

    No offense intended, but my patience with aol gold has worn pretty thin. I saw where an aol person mentioned in their answer to a complaint that it is updated every two weeks. I am still having issues from when aol gold went live that are not fixed!?! The least aol can do is to allow us to use 9.6 until gold functions without a hitch.

    Please follow the steps to clear the footprints:

    1. Launch AOL Desktop Gold.
    2. Sign in with your username and password.
    3. In the top menu bar, click the Settings icon Image of the Settings icon.
    4. Click Browser on the left menu.
    5. Click the Security tab at the top of the window.
    6. Select the data you’d like to clear.
    7. Click Clear Footprints.

    Please note that after clearing the browser footprints, you will have to re-enter your zip-code on the Welcome Screen.

    Regarding the block mail feature, we will pass it along to our Product Engineers and they will look into…

  6. FIX THE EMAIL SYSTEM

    after reading a new email and marking it unread the email will sometimes go in the old email folder. I mark it unread to go back to new it goes into new then I check old folder and it's back in the old folder. I can go back and forth with this all day trying to keep an email new. Very frustrating. I have had tech support at least 3 times now with no fix. Hate the GOLD/CAN'T TRUST IT

  11. I have to say that so far Gold SUCKS

    Get back to the service we used to have at AOL. I'm constantly losing emails, emails not loading and having to sign off and on again to make things work. What's going on???

  14. Six major issues still with AOL Gold, despite them being reported to Tech Support.

    AOL Desktop Gold still has major bugs after one month since its mandated use on January 14, 2018:

    1. Drafts are frequently not being saved despite hitting the "Send Later" button. Five minutes later, an error message appears saying that AOL mail is unavailable at this time and to try again in five minutes. The original draft has been "Pended" on the screen and displays either where it sat the whole time or it's placed behind the open Mail window.

    The only workaround solution is to try to save the draft another way when hitting the "X" (top right of draft)…

  17. Missing a ton of email

    Inbox says I have several emails I mean thousands (which I should because I am lazy and don't check often plus get a lot of junk) but I have 4 new emails and old ones I had saved as new a long time ago. Where did the rest go? Says 3000 emails has 15... Where did they go, when I need to see some of them? Is this because of windows update? Windows 10 updated, and restarted then my aol was unresponsive, I ended the task now no matter how many times I close and open aol I can't see…

  19. News articles problems - broken links or contain viruses.

    Frequently when I try to open an article from the main page or a sub-page either the link is broken or a virus or worm infects my system. You need to do a better job making sure posts are clean.

  20. AOL Gold browser freezes up, locks, won't load even it's own pages

    Really? I have to close the browser, and completely reboot my computer to get this browser to work properly? While this one is busy not doing anything, using half a gb of ram, I can open AOL Shield and go to the website I can't get Gold to open. Geesh, almost 300 revisions now and it's still a pain in the .............
