  3. when contacting you, I am asked to provide a mobile Phone #, since I do not have one this is not possible! Is their an alternative???

  4. What has happened to my e-mail? I am getting e-mails dating from 2014 in my inbox mixed in with todays. I have to sort through them.

    I am getting e-mails from 2014 in my new mail...all mixed in with today's e-mails. When I go to sent mail, I am getting e-mails all the way back to 2009 and cannot find the e-mails which I sent today. There is no rhyme or reason for how they are coming up as to the date...it skips all around. I am really disappointed in how the service has been since we have begun paying each month....many problems!

  5. Apparently

    My OLD AOL desktop program would automatically disconnect from the braodband if the computer was silent for 10 minutes. AOL Gold does NOT do this. If I forget to sign out, it comtinues to be connected and use my broadband minutes for hours and hours or even days and days. Very VERY very frustrating. We need this to re reinstated into the Gold desktop.

  7. Keep being prompted to buy an additional aol desktop gold subscription

    I keep being prompted to pay for a desktop gold account for one of my user names. Why must I pay for another account when I already have one? It goes on to tell me that I will have to retrieve my email from aol.com if I dont purchase another gold account. Isnt this double dipping?

    Starting today (6/3) my emails are being rejected... The dreaded Mailer email shows that the address I'm sending to has added an aol.com to the address for whatever reason... Wazzz up now??

  9. Once again tech gave me the wrong info

    See your reply below. This does not bring up AOL Gold on my hard drive. Please give me the correct info. I need to know where to find AOL Gold on my hard drive:

    The AOL Desktop Gold is installed in a different location, then the old AOL Desktop. To access the AOL Desktop installation folder, first, open the Run box (press the Windows Key + R), then type the following path inside it and click OK: LOCALAPPDATA\AOLDesktop

  11. What's wrong with Sign ON Screen????

    Went to sign on this AM and AOL kept asking to change my password and add mobile phone #!!!! I've changed it twice and dont need big brother telling me to do it again and I don't want to give out phone numbers! It already takes too many steps to sign on! I know security is important but this is getting offensive!

  14. AOL Mail snafu

    On Friday 5/27/2018 I saved an email to my "On AOL folder" in a sub folder
    On Monday 5/28/2018 not only was my "On AOL" folder empty, my address book was gone, and all sent/saved mail after 2014.
    WTF is going on with AOL.
    The only reason to keep AOL, is so much data is archived on it.... if I can't retrieve that data, there isn't much point in remaining on AOL, now is there?

    When I had to reinstall Aol Computer Checkup I notice the were Enhanced Features to the Program. Why does Aol not offer the enhanced features to their customers.

  16. Reminders not being sent

    Another Reminder was not sent to my mailbox yesterday. At this point more are not being sent than are. Actually, I don't remember the last one that I did receive.
    Previous to Gold I had been told to set them on aol mail/IE. What's the point of that? We pay to use the desktop software.

  17. Help

    I haven’t been able to use aol since aol gold started. I’ve gone through turning the computer over to aol (bomgar) several times, being on phone for hours. Nothing works. Get mail through other means and on iPad. They said they’d would deduct —at least a year—of the amount I’ve been paying for years, but haven’t done that either. Just hate to go through telephone call again.

  18. Blocking Pop-Ups does not work, and articles cannot then be read. FIX IT!

    Click on any article with text, and you can't read it because pop-ups ads keep popping up -- even when you've selected to "Block all Pop-Ups." And, the same ads keep coming up. I lost count of how many times I've given up and clicked out of some article. AOL is beginning to have the same reputation that COMCAST has. POOR SERVICE!

  19. My mail is all messed up.

    Spam folder disappeared but now I have a null folder. Old mail only shows posts from 7 or 8 years ago. New mail should have thousands, it only shows 1 post.
