when the need arises to re-install AOL(desk top Gold-haha) how about also reinstalling the custom tool bar --CURRENT--NOT AN OLD ONE!!!

Here is your reply to our questions and requests to improve/go back to the way things were: "Unfortunately, what you’re looking for is no longer offered in the current version of AOL Mail."
That a p*** poor answer and reflects the attitude that paying aol customers don't matter to the company! Fix them or we're all gone. -

EMAIL Options still missing important feature
When writing, or copying, text into an email. The option to INSERT a URL is present - BUT the option to REMOVE a URL is missing. It was in the pre-Gold AOL, but has been asked for many times, yet never replaced.
Sure, I can click "INSERT URL" and delete it.. But that's crude! and error-prone.
ALSO- when pasting words that contain a 'hidden' URL, the words are underlined and blue, but placing the cursor on them does NOT show what the underlying (hidden) URL is. Again, have to "INSERT URL" and read it... just crude again, and also error-prone. -
timeout trollers in chatrooms
put a timer on people who are in the chatroom that never post. Timeout after X amount of time and boot them from the chatroom.

When History is turned OFF, it should stay OFF and not turn ON the next time I log in.
Search History is not working correctly. I've turned it to the OFF position but then next time I log in and do a search, it's in the ON position. I've mentioned this before but always receive the same response. I've been with AOL since 2001 and have never had this problem. Please look into it...Thanks

Los Angeles weather
The weather in San Fernando Valley, CA is very different from Los Angeles weather. In the old AOL version, I was able to get my Reseda, CA weather. Now, the only weather I can get is Los Angeles, so i never know what the Reseda weather will be like. Other major cities in the Valley are Van Nuys, Northridge, Woodland Hills, Chatsworth. Why do you include them all with Los Angeles, which has very different weather? The San Fernando weather is hotter than Los Angeles. Example, the weather in Los Angeles is 87 today. Free AOL Desktop Gold
This is not an idea, but a frustrating feedback! Seemingly without notice my "free" AOL Desktop Gold became unusable. Contacted AOL a couple of times with no real "solutions." Then last evening noticed that there is "no more free AOL Gold." Except the approach to continue with AOL Mail, all else is via paid membership. All this happened with no alerts or prior notice of this significant impending change! Not good customer service!

First you destroyed the "smiley face" by giving it a moronic-looking open mouth. A smiley face is a smiley face. This new thing is not. Now I see you've destroyed the cute "wink." why do I have to sign in for SPAM controls?
This is getting worse and worse. Now I have to sign in for SPAM controls? Why? I've always been able to get to them before by clicking on the link on my email box page. I'M ALREADY SIGNED IN...DUH. What good does it do to sign in again? At least I know why my SPAM controls are no longer working AT ALL. Fix it!!!!!

Calendar Look Back
Calendar Only allows a 2-1/2 year look back on a rolling basis.
How about at least 5 yrs ? 10 yr look back even better.

Threatening behavior in chat rooms
So if I don't report threatening behavior while the person is the chat room, AOL refuses to do anything about it.
AOL must not care about its members' safety.
