AOL settings, Browser, Saved Passwords
I had a Remote hookup with a AOL support person yesterday afternoon 7/18/25. I was having problems logging on to a specific website (MSC Crusies.com) my Browser "Google Chrome" as my primary browser thru AOL/windows10 .Aol settings and Windows settings would just go blank and back me completely out of AOL and put me back on my main Windows10 home page everytime. Well anyway, the AOL Support person hooked me to the Remote operation mode. She tried several different operations. She also backed up my AOL Desk top and AOL and I thought AOLdata in my info. She then uninstalled…

dial-up plan?
Will I lose my aol browsing ability when my dial-up plan ends even though I havent used dialup connection for the past 25 yrs?
The end of life of the dial-up function will not impact any of your other services, benefits, or subscriptions. You AOL Desktop Gold, and or access to AOL Mail will NOT be impacted by the changes to dial-up.

With latest update everything lags
With latest update everything lags. Took me forever to type this. Had to wait until a letter appeared to type another letter. Do you not test before you release a version? Also, getting not responding again!!! Please fix this.

If you continue to experience this problem Please use the "Report a bug" option under the help menu. This will provide us with some additional logging information that will be crucial in understanding what is happening so that we can resolve it.

No more second username with aol and not notified, lost all of my info
I've been with AOL since the 90's. I've always had 2 usernames to keep personal and work separate. I bought a new laptop Oct 2025, loaded in the AOL gold and now I cannot access my 2nd user name. All my info and saved emails gone. I googled the situation and see that since 2017 no more than one user name. Why was I not notified so I could start something new and keep my important info. Very upset with AOL. I had important things in that email folder.
You must use the export data from the settings menu on the old computer in order to copy of your mail saved on my PC.
All legacy AOL accounts with multiple screen names will allow all associated screenname to sign into AOL Desktop Gold.
There was a brief outage during this time. Please try signing in with all screennames again.
Also, please use the report a bug option in the Help menu. This will provide us with some extra logging in order to determine the cause and get a fix out.

Service Issues
I an currently using AOL Gold as my email server. However, each time I login to my email I have to re-enter both my screen name and password; it is never saved. In addition, I can't add or aol won't remember a second screen name. I can not print emails or download, open, or print email attachments. I also cannot update contacts stored in aol. If I sign on from Microsoft Edge and go to aol I am able to do all the above but have to sign on separately for each screen name. After working with 4 aol technicians…

Increase size of "Read" Mailbox number from 10 point to 14 or more. Its too tiny the way it is.
Increase size of "Read" Mailbox number from 10 point to 14 or more. Its too tiny the way it is. Evenj on a large display and wearing reading glasses it is many times difficult tom impossible to make it out without moving right up to screen. Would not cost AOL anything to correct this oversight.
You can increase the font size through the settings page. Select Mail and update the FONT info.

You only allow removal of three domains in spam controls
Please increase the number of domains we can remove.

reinstate the mail waiting to be sent feature in AOL that used to be available, that feature was previously on my aol software,
Mails waiting to be sent (draft emails) are available in drafts folder in your mailbox. There is a setting in the mail settings under the Advanced tab "Remind me at sign on if I have drafts" if you want the extra reminder.

AOL Desktop Gold - deleting issue
I want to have option to continuously delete e-mails with out opening each e-mail. The blue highlight keeps on disappearing after I delete the previous e-mail
Please note : This was never a problem in many of the past years I have been on AOL. This is a New Problem.

The one thing you folks have to do is keep email working for gold paid subscribers. And you cannot even do that! So maybe try improving that
Make AOL email work and be reliable for paid subscribers or lose them to Google.
There was a large mail outage last week that impacted email. That issue is now resolved.

Home Page information
List items about the USA, not UK!! Everything on my opening page is about the UK. I live in the USA and care little about the UK. Yet even the weather is listed for the UK.

"HOT Fixed! - paste can double paste content." Nope. It has not been fixed. It is still doing it. Please fix asap!
This fix is currently rolling out to users but is not fully rolled out yet. You should receive this update this week as we plan to fully roll out the fix to everyone later this week.

I changed font in mail to 18; stays for a few wks then goes back to 10....annoying.
Would appreciate font staying at the one I chose -- not to change, by itself, to a different font.
You can update your settings to modify the default font size for mail. To do this, open settings, select mail from the left side and then select the Font and Text tab.

Toolbar size for AOL Desktop Gold cannot be bigger
The browser toolbar can be enlarged through settings. In settings, select Toolbar on the left and then the general tab is where that option is located.

I need to be able to open two+ emails and have them side by side to compare! Instead, all emails open up in the same box. Terrible!!!!
Every email should open in their own window. You can not compare emails or perform other tasks involving two emails when you can only see one at a time. This needs to be addressed immediately since it is a major problem. I have been an AOL paid subscriber since the 1990s, but this problem has me seriously considering leaving unless it gets fixed immediately! I am in the travel business, and not being able to compare side by side emails is a major inconvenience.
Within settings, select Mail, then go to the advanced tab. At the top is an option "open mails I read in a new window".

Notification and Preference Setting Error
No Notifications Yet is showing all the time and embedded video no showing due to preference settings.

You can turn off the automatic reading of email by visiting settings and navigating to Read Aloud section. There is a setting for automatically reading emails.
